I like the idea behind mirroring venom's kit but putting the buffs into debuffs due to the science class theme, its a shame that accessing the damage requires removing all the utility (debuffs)
100% DAA reduction after an sp3 and 80 hits easily maintainable for the rest of the fight, 150% if awakened. Quick to access unstoppable/evade counter. Finally the ability to completely Reverse power gain. Seems like a pretty good champ to me! Plus theres loads of stuff I've left out e.g damage. Can't wait to see what people can do with him hands on
Looks like utility beast that is pretty much "classless" (as in he can counter champions across classes, he is against Unstoppable for ex, and it doesn't matter whether the opponent is Juggs, Rhino or even Killmonger).
Also once again a huge thumbs up for animators, you have outdone yourselves once again.
Anyone else just really not sure on how they feel about him?
Maybe it’s the pessimist in me, but it seems like all his damage comes by getting rid of the utility of his debuffs. So if you want to deal with evade, regen or AAR you can’t use his sp2 for big damage. He will still have immunities, stagger on heavy and spider verse evade counter, but for the really nice utility of regen reversal, DAAR and evade/unstoppable counter you don’t want to get rid of it just by getting your damage.
Also, it seems like his utility is ramp up. For disorient you won’t get 100% DAAR until after an sp3, it maxes out at 75% for 4 stacks and 50 combo.
With decelerate that seems really useful, you can get to 100% reduction at 3 stacks and 10 combo.
I’m not sure how the spectre will work in practicality, but it seems like it’ll be decent enough for mitigating and removing regen, but I don’t think he’ll be the absolute best reversal champion. His reversal caps out at 50 hits and 4 stacks at 99.6% reduction. So you’d need despair, petrify or an sp3 to actually reverse.
This is all precursory thoughts, I’m not saying he’s bad or trash. Just a few thoughts on how it seems to work to me. Maybe I’m completely wrong and the utility works a lot better than I’m imagining. Looking forward to testing out the 3*!
The fact that you need to go for the sp3 and then sp1 and then sp2 to get x amount of time window to do some damage just sounds like namor with extra steps.
That's for ROL opponents which isn't 99.99% of the game. For normal content SP1, SP1 then SP2 will suffice.

Just remembered that the petrify debuff can couple with spectre to reverse regen even more, so that’ll be pretty nice to be fair.
My worry is still just about trading utility for damage, there’s a reason none of the top champions have to sacrifice one for the other (or if they do it’s in a very minor way). Anti venom seems like if Void didn’t have his DoT from non-damaging debuffs, and his sp2 got rid of his debuffs and swapped it for a burst damage phase.

Act 7 already is touching the rol health points to a limit Bosses have easily 600-800k hps 7.3 will most probably have 400-450k hp opponents everywhere
The fury passive still had quite a bit of duration at the end of a fight. That was against an opponent with 320k hp. 400 - 450k hp I don't think will be a problem.
As for the bosses, you'll struggle to find champs who can take down that much hp in one rotation. Even more so when you factor in the fact you have to play around nodes.
yet another case of needing to actually play him before making a judgment
Sure, anyone saying he’s definitely this or 100% that is overstepping a bit. But you can see how some abilities will work in the game, and picking between utility or damage can be a bit of a glaring problem for champs.
He's giving me S2099 vibes. - - Lots of things going on, nice damage but very little practicality - You gotta sacrifice utility for damage - What's with that inane playstyle of blocking specials to build power? That's the fastest way to a quick death especially since he doesn't seem to have any damage mitigation outside of that weak regen.

Regenning 65% of block damage, plus recovery could be pretty nice. Will be interesting to see how it works in testing
Honestly, looks like an interesting kit with the drawback of sacrificing utility for damage or vice versa. I hate playing Mysterio because of that, so I'm not sure I'll like it here but I'll see when he's actually released.
I'm clearly in the minority, but I personally didn't think his animations were anything special. They were aight.
Hmmm, it's hard to tell since he remove all debuffs for damage in sp2, then the case is how fast are debuffs to ramp up ? if it's slow, another S2099, if it's fast then that not much problem as i thought.

Keep in mind that was a 6-star Rank 4 with suicides. And it still took 100 hits. Staying alive for 100 hits against Act 7 bosses isn’t trivial.

His debuffs are kinda meh though untill you stack them up. Seems like he will be reliant on sig.
Animations look sick tho.
Animations is an instant 10/10 from me
