She was pretty good already tbh. Hopefully her faster electrocharge build up means less block damage. Gonna wait to try it before I rank mine further tho (she's already r4)
So I admit I'm a bit biased but overall, I like it. It's not perfect but it's a big improvement. I'll start with the positives: 1. She didn't lose anything. I know a lot of people were concerned that she would lose damage or utility. She still has everything and even a bit more. 2. She's now fully shock immune which is great. 3. They reduced her charging timer from .9s to .65s which will make her ramp up faster 4. Her old sig ability is now in her base kit 5. Her new sig ability will be helpful in giving her more power and throwing off more specials 6. Her sp3 will let her build up without having to block
These are pretty big changes but I do have 2 complaints: 1. This is a nitpick but I would have reduced her charge timer to .5s or .45s. The new .65s is better but I would have gone a bit further in that regard 2. Ok so this is a big drawback. Blocking is still a problem. You still can't parry freely and it doesn't seem like they changed the block proficiency. You will still be holding block for most of the fight although the charging time is reduced. You can somewhat side step this problem but you need to use an sp3 and that effect lasts for 25s.
Over all, this is a net improvement (much better than gamora's lol). She still has her major flaws but there is a way to deal with it (albeit an sp3). I loved Nebula before and I will still love her but I don't think this buff will make anyone else use her if they weren't already. She's certainly better tho so I will be R5ing my 5* today.
So, not really familiar with Nebula's OG abilities, but from a side-by-side comparison, the major changes seem to be:
1) Shock immunity 2) An extra self repair charge, and max sig ability is in her base kit now 3) Charges immune to AAR 4) Slight increase in shock damage 5) Amp charges are gained faster on block 6) Gain Amp charges if Nebula is shocked 7) Slight increase in amount of power drained per Amp charge (if my math is right) 8) Special 3 overcharge lasts much longer 9) Shocks on contact during Overcharge are not guaranteed (not sure if they were earlier) 10) Has a chance to gain Amp charges during Overcharge 11) Sig increases combat power rate when opponent is shocked 12) Looks like there's some tweaks to/new synergies
I think that's all the changes.
Not sure how the buff stacks up. She certainly seems better, I guess.
Sorry if I missed it, but I didn’t see her stats and was wondering if her block proficiency has been beefed up. Im guessing we don’t know yet but just thought I’d ask.
Just dropping in to mention that Karatemike (I think) mentioned her Armour and Block Proficiency have been tuned up. Assuming that’s correct that could be massive for the kit

Really?? I didn't watch any of the break down videos but that could be huge!!
It looks solid to me. She just needed tweaks and it seems they did that in the right places. Lowering shock timer was main one, a la Gambit. Her regen was pretty nice imo, and if it’s part of her base then all the better. Power control boost, and new sp3 and sig help her get to specials faster which hopefully ties it all together in a good way.
Did she lose the synergy w Proxima that let her start w 10 charges? That will be missed.

Looks like a decent buff, might be good for AQ, maybe some story content but we will have to see. Really need that block proficiency to go up, atleast to 67-68%
Ok they reduced the Charge Build Up a tad (from Every .9 Seconds to Every .65 Seconds) which was basically a Must for her Buff, though personally I wish they would've taken a Note from the Gambit Rework where the less Charges he has the Quicker the Charge Build Up is while Blocking with only hitting that Max Time of about 1 Second when at the Final 1 or 2 Charges. Especially since Nebula's Cap is 20, while Gambit's is 10. The only other Big Thing I think is a Must would be More Block Proficiency, please for the love of everything Design Team be smart and realize the Champion that has to Block to Ramp Up should have Solid BP!!! Nebula was the Perfect Champion for just a Tune Up because all she needed were 2 or 3 tiny things to Shorten Her Ramp Up and Lessen the Damage Taken while Ramping Up so you could get into actually Playing the Champion and having More Fun Quicker!

I’m interested to see how the buff turns out. I think it could be really solid. The shock immunity is great, I like her new sig, and the lesser holding block time it’s great.
My only gripe with nebula is not being able to parry without losing damage. It turns most matchups into stun immune match ups, making it unnecessarily complex and puts you more at risk. For a champ built around holding block to need to not parry it just seems counter intuitive.
I really wish they’d changed it so the first hit of a heavy attack converts the charges into shocks, it would make so much more sense and fit better into the playstyle, while being less stressful to play since you can parry and hold block like gambit can. But ah well…
Looks like Neb's buff didn't go quite the way I wanted it to, but it still looks promising.
Was hoping for some block prof (perfect or otherwise) and faster charge gain. Got faster charge gain, not sure about block prof. Seems the focus is more on getting to an sp3, which allows for charge gain without blocking. She also gets shock immunity finally, so sweet on that.
I'll have to wait and see the numbers and check the charge gain in action to get a proper feel for her, but I'm dangerously optimistic. RIP me.
The main thing I wanted to improve was the the hold block charge timer. It has improved, and hopefully will make it a genuinely usable mechanic for the huge damage.

1) Shock immunity
2) An extra self repair charge, and max sig ability is in her base kit now
3) Charges immune to AAR
4) Slight increase in shock damage
5) Amp charges are gained faster on block
6) Gain Amp charges if Nebula is shocked
7) Slight increase in amount of power drained per Amp charge (if my math is right)
8) Special 3 overcharge lasts much longer
9) Shocks on contact during Overcharge are not guaranteed (not sure if they were earlier)
10) Has a chance to gain Amp charges during Overcharge
11) Sig increases combat power rate when opponent is shocked

Has that changed to just DAAR?
Also she's a mercenary and V8 is all about mercenaries
Edit: i forgot about mags but still
Did she lose the synergy w Proxima that let her start w 10 charges? That will be missed.

I think they could have pushed the Amp Charge duration down a little bit more but we'll see when the buff drops how it actually is in play.
1) heavy shock - that makes her SP2 more interesting and powerful
2) easier AMP charges
3) more combat PR (always good)
Can’t wait to try her!
