The only thing I can think of specifically is War Machine's Suppression debuff.

Yes. I believe Nimrod will remove Passive Prowess and Regen

If I can pull Sauron as a 5/6, so I can take him anywhere, my Annihilus will go up, too

Why is Sauron a mutant? He’s a mutate, not a mutant. If we’re going by this logic Warlock should also be a mutant.

Where would you put him then? Cosmic? Skill? Science? Same reason why Deadpool is a mutant even tho he's actually a mutate. Besides, it's Marvel who decides which class is each character.

I’d expected he would be Science considering he got his original abilities from a genetic virus and then used a machine to drain power from Havok.

So that's definitive then. Mutant-adjacent = Mutant, at least in the Battlerealm....
