I feel your pain. I constantly rank up 5 stars to r4 just to use the over flow of Alpha 2. It is such a waste but it is better then it expiring. It is a struggle the higher you get. Management of resources are a big deal. I stopped opening map crystals just to slow the over flow of Alpha 2.20

It seems there's usually a tremendous overflow of t2a always. But anytime new act chapter is released they almost balance out providing nice amount of t5bs for rankups. Right now i have exactly 8 t5bs at my disposal.
And all my glory is usually spent on t5b3 -

I've got 23 T2A in my overflow currently. Obviously it'll drop a bit when I R3 Here next week but I'm still getting T2A far more quickly than I get T5B. I'm going to have to R4 a few 5* to get it under control or let them expire which I'd rather not do. Luckily I've got a few 5* that I do want to put a couple of resources into just to play around - Nimrod, Cull and SW, but it's a bit of a toss up whether I value a R4 SW over the 1m gold I'll spend on her...10

At this point a mid to high end thronebreaker shouldn't be struggling to take 3 champs to R2 each month or may be 1 R3 & 1 R25 -
If it wasn’t for this “imbalance” I wouldn’t be able to seriously participate in the level up event because all my 5s are r3 or higher. Believe it or not people rank 5s with their t2a, so I welcome all the t2a I can earn and will even buy it in the glory store at times.
The t5b is “rarer” because that’s the rate Kabam wants you to rank up the highest ranks of champions with incentive to spend on offers built in to the equation; It’s part of the free to play model.9 -
I absolutely agree that there should be a difference in the availability of various resources. However, I disagree with where the choke point should be. We have two levels of resource beyond t5b at this point, being t5cc and t6b/t3a. I want more t5b because 5* champs are all but useless with my progression in the game, and while availability of t2a has increased dramatically over the last few years, the availability of t5b has barely increased at all. Not to mention a r2 6* should not be the chokepoint for ranking up. The real chokepoints should be placed at r3 6* and r4 6*s.Adevati said:

up until the GGC my biggest bottleneck for ranking 6* champions was t4b... lol.
just looking at 6* champs:
R1 - R2 requires:
7 T4b
3 T5b
7 T2a
7 T4cc
R2 - R3 requires:
1 T5cc
4 T5b
8 T2a
8 T4cc (why is this even a thing?)
R4+ no longer requires t2a but is instead replaced with t3a, but still needs 5 t5b.
Few easy solutions/proposed fixes:
1. Increase catalyst storage capacity
2. Increase amount of t5b in rewards
3. increase value of purchase of t5b in the glory store

The bottleneck being T5CC or T3A/T6B makes a lot of sense. A T5B bottleneck does not. I stopped opening T5CC crystals months ago because I don’t want to put myself in a position where one could expire.6 -
The solution is quite obvious; slow down the T2A acquisition rate slightly and increase T5B so that the disparity isn't so huge. Even my brand new account - 6 weeks old has 4 T2A in the overflow having already taken a 5* to R5. I don't need to be able to R2 a 6* every week, I don't think most of us have the gold to do that even if we wanted to, but there does need to be better balance if even a brand new account is facing the same management issues as a very endgame account.

I don't need to be able to R2 a 6* every week, I don't think most of us have the gold to do that even if we wanted to, but there does need to be better balance if even a brand new account is facing the same management issues as a very endgame account.
You are asking Kabam to speed up progression on the account of you having expiring materials.
Keep showering me with disagrees. But this entitlement that players deserve more of the uncommon resource because they have too much of the common one is hilarious.
The few people saying just lower T2A is silly as well. How does it help if you now earn 5 T2A compared to earning 10 T2A and having 5 expire? Seems rather redundant. At least with the latter you can choose to upgrade lower tier champs.
Say they speed up T5B and now we all have T2A and T5B expiring. Are we going to complain that there is T5CC imbalance and we all deserve more of that resource?

I hear you, and sometimes in the past I did 4/55 a 5 star. Just to burn the t2a. Will I ever used them even in arena? Here's the problem though, and why I stopped doing it. 5 stars and 6 stars do share the same resources. T4b for r2 6 star and t4c for both r2 and 3. So, any 5 star we rank (and will never use) is just stealing much needed t4b and c from the mouths of our 6 stars. Which is why I can't do it anymore.
But, of course, the main point is why should endgame players (done all content/playing for 4-7 years) be struggling with a resource we already chased.. like 4 years ago? The TB Glory Store values are the most outrageous issue imo... and a simple update to them (in line with veteran progression in 2022) would go a long way to fix it. Let us actually choose to use our hard earned Glory on something we need. As it stands, there is virtually nothing that has real value to me in the Glory Store. I just get upset at the end of each AQ cycle when I'm forced to spend/claim some currently. There's no excuse for such a poor value for this 2018 resource in the TB store.
But beyond that, I just also wanted to actually take note of what ratios we are earning across the board. And it's not acceptable.5
