If you read the in game message they sent everyone on dec 21st, you'd have the answer.
You could have simply answered it instead of trying to berate OP. You ask the community to change but how much are you willing to change??
Some people on this forum are downright unpleasant. I left the MCOC subreddit because it became too toxic, and now the forums are following suit. It's unfortunate
It's not just reddit but the forums as well. I'm planning on quitting after the gifting event just to see where I land with regards to the gifting ranks.

Thanks, but this time I'll be quitting permanently. I had played the game back in 2016 but that time i didn't like it much. I started again in 2020 and played for 2 years. With commitments on the personal front i can't invest anymore time on the game now, and roaming on forums like this isn't good for mental health.
I'm glad I could be of help, and give a few laughs here and there!

Good points. I started back when the game first released too and didnt like it but came back during covid (lots of down time).
Forums can be helpful, and toxic, but enjoy your break. Maybe by the next pandemic you'll be back! lol stay safe!
@Kabam Miike@Kabam Zibiit people are waiting to switch alliances before AW starts. Why aren't these rewards out before AW season starts? The lack of coordination for something that has likely been planned for months is amazing to me

TBH, the Forum is nothing like the cesspool of Reddit.

Could've. OP could've done a forum search as well. There's several threads answering this question already too.
You also could have not commented. You're not the forum police to indirectly say that they shouldn't create this thread just because this question has been answered. Not everyone uses the forums all day, every day.
I didn't say you shouldn't, I said you could've done a search. If you can make a post about something you were already told about, I can make a comment like I did.

My understanding is AW has been delayed for a while which means people can claim rewards and switch to new alliances. Also, you can start coordinating with your new alliance in the mean time while waiting for Jan 6th and do all the planning needed.

To be fair, the forum search feature is .. not the best. Just for giggles I tried to do a naïve search for this information, and it took some doing. A search for gifting event rewards shows a lot of threads - for the 2020 gifting event. A time restricted search for recent posts - which I suspect most people don't even know is a thing - then generated some more relevant results. A thread with the correct answer showed up seven results in.
People are supposed to search the forums - not just to reduce clutter but also because the forums are supposed to be a space for interaction. Contributing to existing threads is a better form of interaction than starting a new thread when that thread isn't necessary. But I think we could be friendlier to people asking simple questions that would be easier to answer than it would take to look up the answer. Ultimately the forum rules are here to make the forums a better place, we should exercise some discretion when calling people out on them.

OP, as others said, tomorrow, the 6th - there is no time specified either so don't expect at any particular time would be my advice

It is January 6th.
