I hope the show is not a limited series

hate to break it to you, then, but apparently Oscar only signed up for this show and they've already said it's one season only.
Incorrect. It depends on the story for him. He is open to coming back

the report I saw said he's signed for one season of this and nothing else, that clearly doesn't preclude him returning, but what I said was correct.

Ok if you were to rate this series from 0 being the worst to 10 being the best how would you rate this along the other Disney+ marvel series

    Hawkeye - 9/10
    Wandavision - 7.5/10
    Falcon & Winter Soldier - 7/10
Moon Knight - 6/10 (incomplete grade until after finale)
    Loki - 5/10
What If? - N/A (only got through first 4 eps before getting bored)

I have been growing up with the comics (before internet), I collected all marvel comics...and so far I have been happy with all movies and TV shows..now it's phase (sorry for the english spelling and grammar), and I'm not really that hyped about it... compared to the previous phases, but I remember Moon Knight from the comic's and I somehow think they kept it real.. I must say though, I didn't find episode 4 and 5 as interesting as the 3 first episodes.

Falcon and the Winter Soldier 9/10
    Loki 8/10
    What If? 9/10
    Hawkeye 9/10
    Moon Knight so far: 9/10

Episode 5 was all over the place 😭.

Dealing with so many dark themes, Marc's abuse at the hand of his mother hit me harder than I thought.

However I feel like episode 6 may be so rushed, we still gotta jump to Harrow and Tammit and Layla...but I've got hope.
Nice thing is that it's confirmed that different versions of the afterlife exist in the MCU, maybe it's different for each person depending on what they believe in 🤔

That’s straight out of Supernatural (and probably a million other things…) but it’s cool.

I was a bit unnerved by Tawaret at first but she grew on me.

    I hope Steven isn’t dead!

According to Sir Terry Pratchett, you get the afterlife you believe you deserve: if you think you deserve a great one, you get that, no matter the life you lead, likewise if you think you deserve to go to Hell, despite living a good life, you go to Hell.

"This is why it's important to kill missionaries on sight." :D

Still 100% entertained after episode 5. I’m floored by Oscar Isaac’s portrayal and would have to say this show rates up with Wandavision and Loki for me.

The sticky point is that the finale is reportedly the shortest one ever for a D+ show at around 45 minutes….so I’m slightly nervous about sticking the landing (especially since there is only this season confirmed).

If you’ve read the Lemire run on MK, there are a dozen ways this can go. What’s real and what isn’t and what’s just Khonshu messing with Marc is all up in the air, so I think a satisfying ending is possible.

But I’m nervous. Because I’ve loved the show so much this far.

One item I think is interesting…Marc with the gun to his head while dying at the feet of Khonshu. Lots of theories why.

My biggest hope is that they don’t confirm “it was all a dream” like Psychologist Harrow is suggesting. I want MK to interact with other heroes because his banter in various media is so funny.

What I sort of hope happens:
I hope they end up revealing that Harrow had Marc in a sham psych ward to try and trick him into not being a problem.

How they might work around the jump cuts in between the real psych ward and the afterlife things is that Steven/Marc are dead but Jake is alive and is trapped in irl fake psych ward or something weird like that.

Or he is hallucinating the psych ward and is actually dead until Layla or his avatar friend releases Konshu who heals Marc and then he can go on to punch bad guys and save the day lol

Alright, I just watched the finale.

How do you manage to create such a great show that makes you question everything and with such an amazing build up to the final confrontation, and mishandle it so poorly in the last 5 minutes...

I just finished the finale, and WOW!!!

I knew it was a 3rd personality. Layla said she got stuck by her man, right or wrong, and my girl got a power up.

I NEED SEASON 2 LIKE RIGHT NOW, ABSOLUTELY AMAIZNG!!!

Anyone else think Mark and Steven should get banned for piloting? One player one account guys

Ya come on! Ban them already! lol

All in all, I was thoroughly intrigued the whole show. I liked it plain and simple. I'm interested to where they take MK next whether it be season 2 or a different movie or show

    HE’S HERE

    JAAAAAKKKEEEE LOCKKKLEEYYYYYYY

kinda disappointed that we didn’t get to see the final fight but I’m so happy to see Jake. Looks like he’ll be the rich one (as opposed to Steven) which tbh I’m okay with

Hope we get a second season, but its alright.

Wish there was more action in the moon knight suit throughout

Kinda wish Steven didn't come back since he had such an amazing send off in EP 5 and that feels pointless now

that was AWESOME. and I, for one, would like to see more of Avatar!Layla.

9/10 episode but still a top tier finale.
All you could ask for. A grade fights, surprising reveals and moments that make you smile.

Layla was the MVP for that episode for sure.
Steven and Marc could have had a more fleshed out ending but that's the only complaint I have.

That post credit scene was cold. Khonshu wearing a suit and Jake doing his thing.

Hopefully season 2 won't be too far in the future

they did confirm that Layla is officially the Scarlet Scarab (her father is in the comics)

pretty cool to see the first Egyptian superhero

Konshu in the Limo tho 🥶 💧

    100% agreed.

Brilliant comment, but who is the actual pilot?

I loved the finale. At first I thought it moved a little too quickly, but the more I considered it the more I realized how exposition would have slowed the pacing way too much. Fight scenes with avatars down front and huge gods in back was terrific. I feared Layla would have a cheesy “possession” but I found it fun and convincing and loved the costume.

The end…well done. I thought they would only let us see the ascot cap, but it was satisfying to finally see Jake in the flesh. I felt like the deal was kind of squirrelly when Khonshu agreed to free “the two of you” and true to form Khonshu remained a dishonest trickster. He’s a “villain” after all, which I think we will see in season 2.

    Well done. Loved it.

Unpopular opinion maybe but I thought that season finale was the worst episode by far in the season.

Everything was conjoined into a mess and it felt very forced.

    For example:

Steven was revived in a minute,

Avatars just fall over off screen,

Ammit’s motive falls apart as she accepts her avatar (and he should of been judged that way since the beginning)

Layla rejects Khonshues (forgive the spelling) offer to become an avatar which is actually one of the highlights, but then immediately gets forced into becoming another avatar :|,

Steven now knows how to fight like he’s been trained,

Layla rolls along with Moonknight despite committing mass murder

They just happen to know a spell and big bad losses in a obscure barely mentioned way.

The Sorcerer Supreme, who protects the spiritual realm, doesn’t seem to care that the worlds souls are getting sucked away (maybe will be noted to in the next movie)

Even with all the cons in this episode, the season overall was very good and for the most part I liked the direction it went. The outtake was very cool and I hope for a second season.

Can someone explain to me where this Jake person fits into this?
I know Marc is the 'original' owner of the body so to speak. Marc created Steven as a way to live without his childhood trauma and have a good relationship with his mum (not sure if that is really it that's just my personal interpretation).
So when did Jake get made? What purpose does he hold? Is Jake the only one that has the powers of Khonshu/Moon Knight?

Watching tomorrow, but I’m tickled with the choice of F Murray Abraham (Salieri from Amadeus for old peeps) as the voice of Khonshu.

    Dr. Zola

He does a brilliant job with the voice. I thought it might’ve been the guy who voices optimus prime in the movie. Very similar voice

My dark theory is that this guy would only be brought out when he was suffering from physical abuse and now it’s warped him. Mark had to deal with mental trama, Steven had a great life with no trauma. And Jake is left with everything else. That’s pretty dark for the MCU though
