    Totally agree, with the new title we should have a new difficulty. There’s is ni point in having characters at top rank and not being able to take advantage of it

    Lol, go from cavalier to paragon. It took them years to finally have a cavalier. If they jump from cav to paragon the little hamsters who power kabams engine will have a meltdown

    Maybe the could add a Thronebreaker path to the current Cav difficulty. So we get a bit of the extra difficulty but don’t need a full extra EQs per month. Have the paths be harder and maybe completing all 6 extra Thronebreaker paths gets 10% of T6B and T3A. The paths only open after 100% Cav difficulty and are gated to those Thronebreaker and above.

They could even make the boss of each quest one of the new champs if it happens over a 3 month period, and just release it the month that all of them are finally available.

    Not saying that I think this is likely but I like the idea.

    When I’ve played with the idea in the past, I thought about tying rewards to paths (as chests) as an option so that every run would be worthwhile. Additionally, the last quest would be a Thanos/Eternity of Pain style one where it’s just one (maybe two) Big Bad fights. There’s a lot of different ways to tackle this kind of content that could make for a fun setup.

    If Kabam has to start cutting monthly content, I think a solution could be to have EQ and the SQ focus on different things. Maybe you have the current Normal->Cavalier EQ but remove the easier difficulties of SQ and just run Epic/Legendary/Thronebreaker/Paragon. You'd still only have to be UC to start being able to access the SQ, which isn't too big an ask anymore, I think.

    I don't actually see the problem with this notion, I think there's a lot to be said to having the new EQ difficulty ready with the creation of the title.

    As it stands there's 5 difficulty levels, of which only two are titled - Uncollected and Cavalier.

    Of the untitled difficulties we have:
    - Normal is a joke, even to a fresh player. The rewards are dismal and by chapter two the energy requirements are too high to be remotely engaging to a player who's got ~35 energy.
    - Heroic, which opens at level 25 still has pretty poor rewards has the same energy requirements in chapter 3 as Master, Uncollected and Cavalier despite the target audience having ~45 energy - a single pass through the final quest from full energy requires half a refill to get through.
    - Master is the first difficulty level that is remotely relevant. By the time a player is comfortable taking down a ~7k PI boss they're probably in Act 4, perhaps 5 and are looking at fleshing out their roster while they summon the courage to tackle harder permanent Act content. The energy costs are still very high for an account which is likely still only in the early 40s, with the final quests again requiring at least a full energy refill to complete.

    I would propose that Normal and Heroic are removed and Master is the baseline difficulty with the energy costs reduced so that chapters one and two are one 1 energy/tile, while chapter three is 2 energy/tile - I'd prefer them to remain 1 energy/tile all the way through to help encourage activity but that's probably too much to ask.
    A player's early progression is focussed on the story content and perhaps some of the side quests for good loot, not completing and exploring content that's almost as onerous as a whole story chapter.

    This would open the server space for the two new titled difficulty levels of Thronebreaker and Paragon. Thronebreaker is certainly overdue and I'll be honest, I can't see any point in Paragon if its only value is so that Kabam can introduce a new tier of offer in the unit store and a new daily crystal. It's not like it's a surprise for Kabam that this title was introduced, I just don't understand why there wouldn't be plans to release Paragon-relevant content. I'm not counting EoP as this because it's accessible by Thronebreakers still and the only difference is an additional objective which is hardly creating unique content for the title.
