I don’t have that capacity, but someone is gonna post some, eventually
And no worries: It’s not OP. Black Bolt’s only utility is Poison Immunity. The only thing he has is DPS that is completely Synergy-reliant, and those buffs are Active, not Passive, which means most Mystics and various nodes absolutely crush the Silent King.
I have had a 5/65 Sig 200 for quite some time now. It’s fun to mess around with but there’s a lot more places you can’t take it than you can, because of the limitations
As a matter of fact, I should issue a few warnings about Black Bolt:
1. If you’re not gonna take the kit to Sig 200, don’t bother. It’s just like Thor’s — Kabam ain’t letting you have that Big Boi DPS for 20 Sigs. You need around Sig 150 for it to really feel like you’re doing something, 170-plus for extra special DPS
2. I am serious when I say this: Don’t rank him if you are expecting much usage in the Endgame, much past the middle of Act 5. There’s almost always SOMETHING that keeps you from hitting as hard as you want, whether it’s specific nodes, global nodes, or the fact that as good as Hit Monkey, Medusa and Quicksilver (likely) are, you aren’t building a team to clear nasty lanes around a high-Sig Black Bolt. You’re not gonna do it
3. The Silent King is completely unusable in Battlegrounds. Don’t even pretend like you can take the kit there. Trust me, I tried. It’s not doable
Again: It’s fun. If you invest the Sigs and play the right content (simple), you can see some Big Yellow Numbers
But don’t rank the kit if you want to do anything really difficult

See this is what the game should be about! Everyone worries about having the top champs and doing all the hardest things and trying to reach the pinnacle of players that have been sitting at the top since the beginning of the game. Instead have fun with it, try out new things, make fun teams even if you wouldn’t use them in the hardest content. Outside of the absolute RAREST materials in the game, use some T5B and T2A to take up a 5* champ and put together an impractical team and have FUN!

Exactly — I learned years ago what my skill cap is and what my true interests are for this game: collecting characters and testing kits
I understand the people whose enjoyment comes from being an elite player and clearing everything, being in high-tier alliances and things of that nature. There’s nothing wrong with being that kind of player, if you have the skill
But there’s a lot of things to do in this game that are fun if you are willing to take a deep breath, relax, study some of the interactions, test, and then clear content that is suitable for the kits
They aren’t all Hercules and Apocalypse. They’re just not
But some of the kits can still be fun in the right situations, and it’s still a game

Hello! Rank 4 6* BB haver here, i love your enthusiasm for this champ, but I also highly disagree with your second point re: usability!
I have used mine all throughout exploring Act 7 (while at rank 3) and he is much more practical than I think people realize (he was my fifth most used champion during 7.4 explo !) Wanna kick the snot out of Superior Kang? BB is your man. I rarely bring a full synergy squad just for him unless I know for sure he's gonna take a lotta fights since that's a lot of champion slots, but even using him with only Medusa he's gotten a lot of mileage. Been using him in Variants as well where the HM syn isn't viable.
That said I do agree he's not for everyone and requires investment. He fits well into my team because where I go, Medusa goes, and where Medusa goes he goes. But just a ROL champ he is not

That is AMAZING information — a Rank 4 Black Bolt?! That is AWESOME. I thought I was the only one out here who would even consider something like that, but you actually did it!
I am not even joking when I say this: I am totally impressed because while I understand your motivation with using Medusa as your main, you still pulled the trigger on Blackagar Boltagon when hardly anyone else would. Props to you, and I stand corrected!
I used to run R5 Karnak, Medusa and Blackbolt way back when, rotate in hitmonkey and Hercules with suicides And I can only Assume the whole squad hits decently hard.
Would I R4 Karnak or Blackbolt, no, probably not even Medusa these days but it's still fun to Mess around with.
