Optimizing point totals in AQ

I have not been able to find enough information on AQ scoring to figure out the following question:
Assuming all modifiers are the same, would an alliance get more points by getting 100% exploration in 2 battle groups of map 4 or by doing 3 battle groups of map 4 in which they merely do completion (taking down the boss)?

Exploring a map 100% only gets you the Map Crystal in rewards as an extra.
There is no bonus points for doing 100%.
Modifiers give the bonus points for a Completion (Boss Kill).

So with that said, imagine it as follows (assuming still enough to get Boss kills in BG 1/2)…

For each full path from BG 1/2 that you leave undone and instead move that person over to BG3 (doing the same number of full paths), the points for all regular nodes will just even themselves out.
But you will have additional points in BG3 for going thru the Minibosses (which are worth more than regular nodes.
As well as the final Boss in BG3 (Bosses give much larger points), plus the Modifier Bonus for BG3 then too.

Keep in mind that as each day goes on, you no longer have a “minus” prestige from BG3 offsetting increases from BG1/2. Now you have (3x) increases to daily AQ series prestige (assuming 3 boss kills), which bumps up the difficulty/strength (and thus points too) in subsequent days of the week.

I’m not sure Kabam really understood what they opened up (removing all buff links to Mini's and Bosses) as far as those more casual or partial alliances, now being able to potentially rack up a whole lot more points than before.
Even a 3 person alliance (with the right champs for Mini/Boss fights) can do Boss kills in all 3 groups now, even racking up huge Modifier and Honor points in the process. With just 3 people.

They could even compete with the big alliances as far as modifier HONOR points (which just depends on boss kills), using high group modifiers. Even being able to do higher Map #’s than before because they could elect to skip problematic Buff lanes, funneling multiple people together thru other easier lanes. Compared to what they could handle before.

Thank you for your response. You confirmed everything that I was thinking/hoping. Much appreciated.
