Sidequest bug, I couldn't move to the 6* Awakening Gem

So I finally thought I got something great from a rifts sidequest...
I got teleported to the 6* Awakening gem. But then with a full team of 6 Star Champions I couldn't move to the path to get the Awakening gem. I clicked, clicked and clicked nothing. I restarted the game nothing.
I had to choose another path and that was working..

I want my 6* Awakening gem! Come on guys stuff like this cannot happen. It's a huge turnoff for an active player...

I wasn't expecting much, got nothing.
I will never spend a dime on this game again. And I have 2 decent accounts.
So I was expected to have my main champs stuck in a side quest for days while waiting for an answer?
Also as a software developer. And answering Nocko saying I clicked the wrong side, that wasn't the case... I clicked the right path a bunch of times, rebooted, and tried again, zooming, etc. I clicked the right side after all that to see if it moved there, which it did... and just decided to finish it and release my champions.
This is actually really bad game design.
First it's a punishment if you bring a team without 6*s.
If you're skilled to do it without 6*s why would you be punished by having decent skills.
(I brought a full team of 6*s as seen on the printscreens)
Why create that 6* gate if it's not for punishment?
Second adding another path is an error inducing factor.
Because if there was only 1 path and you couldn't move or click a node you could just press autoplay and the problem would automatically be solved.
With this design it's not possible. It's indeed an error inducing design like Nocko says.
I can't believe they use noob developers so this is clearly done with a purpose.
Also should I be stuck in that quest for days without being able to do any other quest and also without being able to use those 5 champions because an internal email from customer support and a consequent message with an AG is too much too ask?
It's their loss in the end. My 2 paying active accounts are now to free to play forever and a lot less active. I'm recommending the same for my Alliances.
If you are a company that can't own your own mistakes you don't deserve customer money and loyalty.
OP said they tried and it wouldn’t move (met the gate conditions), tried restarting game, still no.
Eventually gave up and yes indeed moved to non-gated portal, but not for lack of trying the gated direction,
Depending if Op is accustomed to Gate Node usage in ACT'S or not (might think they have to click on next champ node instead of the green dot under shadow-profile gate icon).
Also, that Gate is indeed way to close to the prior node, even if trying to press on it it may be too close and fat-finger isn’t able to isolate it.
As for.. That's the whole point of this post, the branched-off “Safety Net” in case you didn’t bring the required Star-champ (not necessary in order to start the quest), and ended up on the Prize path that does require 6*.
Safety net lets you move Right instead of Up. Which I assume is another RANDOM portal (or is it really a true Selector portal, as an alternate prize after hitting the lotto but then being told you aren’t allowed to win the Lotto so they let you pick an alternate lesser prize ?)
