Battlegrounds need some massive fix

Just an uncollected who was just doing BG/Arena for the time being because all i get from 5 star crystals are Iron Fist and Yellow Jacket.
After hitting gold 2 and Using all my 900 Elder Mark's just to finish for the season I just realized that every match from those 900 Elder Mark's I was either queued up with a thronebreaker whose deck is 15 6 stars and 15 1 stars or someone who one shots the only decent unit i've got after playing the game for 3 months which is a BWCV with a 1 star deadpool.
The concept is good, the rewards also it gives someone in my position who keeps getting sht characters a chance to play the game. But please fix the matchmaking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS DEPRESSING, HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO BEAT A 18K THE THING WITH A DECK THAT CONSIST OF 4 R4 5STAR AND 26 2K RATING CHAMPION?

    BGs needs a non scoring random mathchmaking mode where you can fight random players.

    Since there will be no scores, if you mismatch, just exit.

    The noob sandbaggers will sandbag in this mode too..smh

    Had the same issues as you and I'm uncollected as well. I advice you don't use any 5* use only your 4*, I was stuck on gold 2 for weeks so I removed the few 5* I had and filled my deck only with 4*. I started getting matched with more uncollected players and I made it to platinum 2.

    Also, they did say they're going to keep making changes to the matchmaking cause they want to prevent sandbagging so maybe next season there will be some changes.

    If you’re in the same level then matching should match you randomly against anyone on the same level. Why should you only play lower level players and get to advance while other (better accounts / players) would need to beat tougher opponents to advance for the same rewards.

    Not a single person here has said thay they want the same rewards cause that would be ridiculous, stop being so salty over people wanting sandbagging to stop. If you're so bad at the game you need to fight weaker players you shouldn't be getting any rewards in the first place.

    I don't think I call it sandbagging, but it is 100% manipulation of his roster to get easier matchups. By using only 4*s, he's trying to matchup against very new players which can creat ea different ethical or spirit of the game argument about a veteran player manipulating his roster to take advantage of noobs for easier wins.

    I'm not against this strategy as I'm a firm believer that pi and prestige shouldn't even be a factor in matchmaking when competing for same rewards, however, I find it hilarious that clober is constantly complaining about stronger players manipulation of their rosters to fight weaker players like him, but he is doing a very similar thing.

    I would agree that BGs needs to add what I would call an "Unranked" mode. Matchmaking for Unranked can be determined entirely by your Deck Rating. 48 Hour Objectives can be completed via this method and I think if they nerfed the points then they could also contribute to the Solo/Alliance Event. These would still cost Energy but no option for Elder's Marks for these. Alternatively, you could also make them free like Friendlies but then I don't think they should contribute towards the events.

    Why this particularly helps is that by having ways for the less competitive players to still partake in BGs, you can allow the Ranked mode to be truly just a competitive mode where you are matched via Rating/Tier and nothing else.

    That image kind of just suggests sandbagging is fixed. Just because the other person doesn't know it's fixed. Seems like your champs have the same pi as their things which aren't 1*.

    And to some of the other posts from other people, using a full 4* roster or 5* roster when you have better definitely isn't sandbagging...even if you are doing it to match against newer people (which might not be the case, you might just not have a full 6* roster or want a change) it's a fair comparison of skill.

    One thing that I think they could change that would help is that Kabam should maybe get rid of the progression based pricing in the Battlegrounds store. Still make it so that specific items unlock via progression but don't have the costs change as you progress. If the argument is that they're playing for the same rewards then the rewards should have the same value.

    Also as mentioned before many times in many threads, everyone should not be starting at Bronze 3. It's ridiculous to think that someone who ranked as Celestial in the previous season needs to prove themselves through those ranks and this is partially to blame for outlier matchups that people complain about. 1 token for every Tier you climbed on the Victory Track I think is fair. Would have the Gladiator's Circuit people starting around Gold 2.

    No, doing this gives you zero advantages over your opponent so it's not sandbagging. Sandbagging is lowering your rating to face opponents weaker than you, if you have your deck full of 4* you won't be facing opponents weaker than you, you'll be facing people with 4* decks just like you

    Trying to matchup against very new players? Mate were you dropped as a child? I literally said I filled my deck with 4* so I could play against people with 4* decks too, not "very new players". I also don't know where you got the "veteran player" from because I just became uncollected a couple weeks ago.

    The only reason you aren't against it is because you sandbag, and you want to keep sandbagging, too bad they already said they're changing matchmaking again so you're just gonna have to take those Ls along with the rest of the Paragon sandbaggers. What's hilarious is that you lack the brain cells to understand the difference between throwing a bunch on 1* and 6* in your deck (sandbagger) to face people who barely have 5*, and using only 4* in your deck to stop facing sandbaggers and instead face people who are also using only 4* like you.

    I thought manipulating your roster to get easier match-ups was cheating? What happened to playing your best roster possible?

    Who said I did it to get easier matchups? You two seriously need to work on your reading comprehension. It's one thing to load up 15 maxed out 6* and 15 1* to verse someone with 5 rank 4 5* and absolutely destroy them because all you need is four drafts out of those 15 and there's not a single thing your opponent can do, and it's another to load out all 4* to dodge the same sandbaggers I'm talking about but still getting fair matches against other people with 4* decks that way no harm is being done. You can't possibly be this dense to not see the difference my guy.
    Also, I never said anything about "using your best roster possible" I just said stop exploiting the flaws in matchmaking that allow you to face someone who is miles below you and has no chance of winning, you're just making up stuff at this point

    It's one thing to give them harder match ups (which I definitely agree with) and another to give them impossible to win match ups. Sandbagging makes it impossible for the weaker player to win no matter what they do.
    No competition in the world will let you compete against a team or opponent that's miles below you for a reason why are you people still trying to argue against this lol I really don't get it.
