Why rank 4 a champ only to get banned in BG?

A lot of threads today about ranking 4 a champ.

But people always ban the top ranked champs in BG anyway so you’ll get to use your rank 4 champs less and less.

Have you guys considered that?

    I do think about it. As I get more R4 then less of a concern. Have 5 now and ready to take up 6th. Two were unduped so they blended in but just duped Valkyrie.

    I rarely ban top champs and have more r4s than they can ban anyways. So why not r4?

    I ban a r3 domino over a r4 galan, I don’t look at ranks at all. They all get a defense and offense boost anyway. Plus some nodes, the last thing I look at is ranks

    A rank 4 has only 15 percent more health, so not really an important consideration IMO.

    Your solution is to work harder to get more rank 4s and therefore by the time they banned your r4, you will still have some r4 to choose from.

    A ban frees another champ, simple as that. I've faced these rosters with like 20 R4s and I just didn't know who to ban.

    I ban champs who are difficult defenders or good counters for my own defence in BGs, so doesnt make sense not to r4 a champ you want to. I'd ban an r2 torch over an r4 Peni once I have several mystics in my roster for defence and galan and hulkling in there attack for example.

    And as said before BGs is just one of several game modes.

    Might as well R4 a Groot while you're at it. Heaven knows Kabam wants you to with all the Groots they throw your way. (King Groot variant not included in this sarcasm).
