Are wish crystals still a thing?

Sooooo wish crystals,… announced about 2 years ago give or take and no news whatsoever on them, are they still in development? Is kabam expecting the player base to forget they mentioned it? Do we keep expecting them? Any news?

    I read it as "should we keep expecting them" to which the answer is clearly no. If you take it literally it's probably yes by majority, though I stopped expecting them some time ago.

    The short answer is that wish crystals were mentioned in the dev road maps as part of a more general plan to make champion targeting more accessible to players. But they didn't even know, or articulate, what the wish crystals would even be, beyond a vague idea that they would help players target champions more readily than they could at the time.

    In the meantime, they expanded dual class crystals, added annual cav crystals, increased the availability of nexus crystals, and added selector crystals to the game. Collectively, that's a ton more targeting capability than existed back when that dev diary came out. You could argue that the selectors in particular were superior to any possible iteration of wish crystals the devs would ever allow to exist.

    Getting hung up on that one thing, when it was an idea tossed out as a potential enhancement to a problem they subsequently did way more for than anyone could reasonably hope for is missing the point of developer roadmaps.
