Hello,
I have a curious ques?
What is the life of this game? i know this game is around almost 8 years now and Kabam keeps adding stuff in terms of new champs , maps quests etc but the gameplay overall is still the same where u fight the defender.
Was wondering when it becomes stale and game developers move to a different game style i.e Kabam stops investing in the game and look for newer alternatives.
I used to play Asphalt 8 a lot then slowly the game developer moved to a newer version and Asphalt 8 stopped getting those newer content, will same happening with MCOC? If yes when?

Madden is still a football game after almost 40 years. Minecraft is still just squares. Call of Duty is still just shooting the others guys with new storylines.
The game will last as long as people will play it and there’s no reason to believe the end is near.
You act like it’s just sitting still because you’re boiling the entire game down to tap, tap, swipe, swipe. The button to shoot in CoD hasn’t changed in 20 years, so we can go with that same argument there too.
The game isn’t dying.
Blunders happens every year multi million dolllar console games have failed miserably.. its human to make mistakes.. this has nothing to blunders even if we kill this and make a new game blunders will shift there ..
Money willing to be spent therefore is disproportionate. Those spenders are heavily invested.
Mobile gaming has overtaken console gaming.
All of the above ensures this game will run for a very long time.
God bless @Magus
It makes it hard to walk away when there are years of invested time and money put into so many accounts. I feel like they take advantage of the loyalty.
I believe it's the Marvel characters that keep this game going. I think if you try this same game and same company with unknown characters, then it fails before it even launches. But because we all love Marvel characters and love playing fight mode conveniently on our phone is what allows Kabam to always keep their head above water.
They are flirting with running off the casual fan base; the bulk of the revenue. People don’t want to have to see 10 hours of shows just to understand the plot of the movie in theaters. And there’s just so much content being spilled out that it’s creating a burnout.
My concern isn’t Kabam running the game into the ground. But rather that Disney puts the pressure on them by greatly increasing licensing costs to recoup lost revenue. Kabam then has to find ways to recoup their lost revenue. Players notice these changes and the quality of the game declines. Whether that be more pay walls or less staff creating more bugs and less content/bug fixes. On top of that, tech is general is in a decline. Most notably the game engine license through Unity; who is struggling even worse. I their licenses are the biggest risk to this game.
There was a thing called comic books that thrived long before the internet.
Maintain? Its been around for 8 yrs for how long more before a new game becomes the focus? Everything in the world has a life span nothing is immortal??
I’m not saying Marvel, or Disney, is going out of business. I’m saying Disney, in an attempt to ramp up lost revenue, targets licensing on the Marvel side which has downstream effects on this game. Or, the general public gets burnt out on Marvel and the market share for this game declines.
What happened before Disney purchased Marvel really doesn’t have any bearing on what is happening today. Comic books are irrelevant at this point.
Was called mroc or Something Like that
