Please Kabam give us something newβ¦ feels some kind of frustrating having so much power and nothing challenging to discharge that energy πͺπ»πͺπ»πͺπ»πͺπ»

The problem with adding new permanent content is that I would hazard a guess that it takes on average 50x longer (combining all of the necessary roles to get it in a playable state) to design than it does to nuke through with Hercules with infinite revives and boosts. There will always be players finished with new content within hours, Kabam inevitably has to go back to the drawing board, and those players inevitably will be bored until the next frenzied play through.
Here are some reasonable ways to combat this:
- Maybe wait at least a day to play through new content.
- Give yourself time to look through the content to find the most fun, niche, or ideal team that fits the required abilities needed.
- Set yourself some of your own individual challenges like not using revives, not using units, not using boosts, not using Herc/Quake/Kitty/other broken champs.
- Try doing the content with lower ranked champs first (or like 5/65s), and then get even more satisfaction going back through with Herc with max boosters and cosmic power boosts.
- Limit yourself to one path per day, or even just exploring one chapter per day. Then go outside, hug your mother, call your friend, do the dishes, etc. Instead of taking a massive dopamine hit all at once, try spacing out things you enjoy.
- With the abilities that boosts+health potions+revives give you, there should logistically never be content that you can't finish unless you don't have any feasible champs to counteract specific node combos. That almost never takes place with higher level accounts because of the availability of champions and selectors. That's just how it is.
- Or Kabam hires 3x more employees and cranks out some massive new content that manually limits rosters and makes ridiculous challenges. They're doing the best they can, and it seems to be hitting the mark for the vast majority of players.
Not trying to downplay the fun of just destroying content with a high ranked roster, and I understand wanting to challenge the massive accounts that people have compiled. I also know the pressures that accounts like these and new content can put on you to rush through and then immediately leave you wanting more. That tends to come down to decent game design. There are ways for you to moderate this yourself though. All that being said, I think we can expect 8.2 the third week of March unless somthing crazy happens. I could be off by a month, but I'm pretty sure that fits the past schedules of story content release after betas.
