7 Star Acquisition Complaints - - - Entitlement or Legit Concern

I believe we can all agree that opinions will vary, but there has been much discussion on how 7 stars being added to MCOC will afect the long term health of the game, and other aspects of the game economy. One of the more reoccuring things I've seen is the collection of complaints regarding 7 star champ acquisition. It seems to me that 7 stars are avaliable now as 6 stars were then. Of course those who get lucky will have more, and we also know that those who buy more units will have more chances to get lucky and potentially pull a champ from a crystal. This brings the paragon title into question as well. At present, I do not see the issue with crystals being locked behind progression titles. My perspective is that up till now progression titles had their greatest impact during special deals, but other than that they were nice, but nothing major. Now with the inclusion of paragon crystals, Thronebreaker players have that extra added incentive to progress.

So in conclusion, do you feel that complaints about the ability to aquire 7 star champions are merely a reaction steming from a sense of entitlement, or do you have a perspecitve which can clearly show evidence to the contrary? Thanks for any feedback, and let's enjoy civil discussion.

This month's SQ gives 2000 7* shards, meaning one 7* per 5 months. This will largely depend on the SQ then - can we count with 1/5 of a 7* per month? Or will this amount increase/decrease? Until we know this, it's hard to judge.

I wouldn't necessarily call it entitlement in this instance. People want the Champs. However, I strongly disagree that they're as 6*s were when they were introduced. This Event is a testament to that. We never had that many 6*s come into the game upon release. The reasoning behind it is solid.

Extremely fair point. I also think Kabam has made a wise move in limiting the amount of different champs in this initial pool of 7 stars. There are a couple where I had an initial question mark, but overall every pull seems to be a champ which can be used to acomplish something positive for whoever pulls them.

Honestly, my only complaint about, say, my alliance mates not being able to get 7*s fast (I have 11 already, it’s not as issue for me) is that they are fun. I’m personally mostly still using my favorite R4/R5 6*s, when push comes to shove? They are my favorites, I know them, they are OP. I built my rank ups around the group. Getting an over powered IMIF isn’t going to change that? But he is fun, even him. He isn’t going to change war for me, or AQ, maybe have an impact if BGs (ie me getting even worse matchups, lol). But he’s a riot to take into content, and see that forgotten former terror of defense hit like he should always have. And clearly It’s fun to take 7* Hulk anywhere, and make defenders disappear with a “HULK SMASH!!” But if it’s serious content, it’s still going to be R5 KP, herc, nimrod, etc doing the work. I guess I wish there was way to let more of my friends in on the fun?

I agree. I was somewhat indifferent to Overseer until I pulled the 7* version. Now I'm starting to enjoy him. Overall, the pool is not bad at all.

You got the big pull?? Nice. Him and Bishop were all I really wanted! Didn’t pull either, but I don’t regret being forced to reassess a whole bunch of champs I’ve never bothered with before. Didn’t pull a single one I use! And I’m only getting one more anytime soon.

It's always so easy to say "players who spend and buy units will get more" without overlooking those who will grind their units and happily dump - in large quantities - for pain free progression bumps

Other then the first 2, 7* will cost 15,000 so its not 1 every 5 months but 1 every 8 months (kinda) if the given shards are 2000 a month.

That plus the insane amount of 6* shards that should be many dupes for iso and 7* shards.

I had been luck to be in an alliance that was able to get 1.4 million and it enable me to get my 5 7star. I thought it would be harder to get 7 stars since I'm FTP but since I grind arena and always do the monthly quest (uncollected-TB) each month and 100% the side quest, it has allow me to my 5th 7 star today. I don't get people who complain that they want this and that but will only do the bare minimum in the game, entitlement. This game isn't built for the entitle people who always complain that they didn't get what the other players that spend or take the time to grind get. It's aways not fair that the game is geared towards spenders, it's an unfair advantage that they have newer champs at higher rank so Kabam owes me compensation for it. It's not a good arguement at all. Just stop it.
