While Hyp can't be countered by all, he will just be outshined by nullify, power drain and champs punishing specials, like SpiderHam.

CGR, on the other hand has insane damage output, and his specials are mostly unblockable and difficult to evade. I would recommend CGR

    Serious reply, though: CGR.

R4 is super nice on him. While R3 is where a lot of players are keepin' him these days, you can really feel the increase of Combat Power Rate and damage.

The former will make landing Parries much less of a necessity, which will allow you to do more intercepts and heavy counters - and the latter will (of course) help close out fights faster.

Not to mention, if CGR is Awakened, that Damnation helps cover a ton of ground in any scenario where Buffs or Regen are present. For example, take this current Victory Track Meta. Frank straight up gets rid of that Unstoppable.

The only reason I could see Hyperion over CGR for BG purposes is because he's definitely a much better defender - so you'd have a solid dual threat.

I think Cosmic Ghost Rider. Not sure though.

I don't know, some youtubers make a good deal of money showcasing his abilities...

    I’ll go with cgr

    CGR
Hyperion is great but hasn't been able to prove himself in BGs
If BGs was not a thing, I would take up Hyperion before CGR
But for BGs CGR is definitely better

I’m a cgr nut so it’s my obvious choice. But I have both at r4 and don’t listen to **** about hype. Hype is literally the best dual purpose champ in bgs imo. I pick him over cgr now because no one kills him with more than 20% hp left. With the bg changes he’s top tier. He has won me 100s of rounds in bgs both attack and defense so definitely consider both

I would say Hulkling and Kingpin are both better in that regard

Whats the rotation most commonly used in BG’s? Aptitude, power gain, then vigilance into sp2?

If CGR is Rank 3 or higher, yes. Due to base Combat Power Rate.

Cgr benefits more from the rankup especially in bgs..more burst potential and more combat power rate
Although if u want a dual purpose champ between the two then hype would be the better choice

For a dual threat I'd pick Hyperion. If you're lacking hard hitting attackers then go for CGR

Doom, Nick, Hulkling, Galan, Kingpin, Rintrah, and many more are way better dual threats
