My idea

That will ruin the whole point of the game.
If you were able to get champions from trading, why should you play then?
Not a good idea ,besides we have gifting at least once a year with crystals

We've had black markets pop up over the years because people used to be able to gift consumables and the old gifting events.

To enable trading of champs would fundamentally destroy the game as people wouldn't go after new champs through legal means.

Not technically your idea since it's been suggested hundreds of times.

If there trading were allowed, I would create a bunch of mini accounts to feed my main account. Like everyone else said it's a bad idea that has been mention many times before. No good will come out of this feature. The gifting event has proven that trading is a bad idea. It got so abusive that they had to change the format of the gifting event. Enough players will always abuse things if given the change. This is why we can't have nice things.

Feel like it's been awhile since we've seen a "Can we trade champs" post

Technically, no you wouldn't because every game that allows such player to player exchanges implements restrictions to prevent excessive twinking (transferring stuff from strong accounts to weak accounts to easily strengthen them) and farming. If Kabam implemented such player exchange capabilities, the entire rest of the game would have to change to accommodate that ability, and almost invariably this ends up restricting what players get for free, what they can easily acquire, and what they can accumulate. Things get harder to get, easier to lose, and more expensive overall, to counterbalance the effects of trading.

To put it another way, trading has such a huge potential benefit that the only way to balance for it would be to make the penalty for not participating in the trading economy extremely high. The people who take advantage of it become the new normal, and everyone else gets left behind them.
