@Zuro this “The July 4th deals definitely ruined the games economy” is the core of the issue when players were able to buy such a huge roster advantage over others in 1 day and the game doesn’t offer enough resources or content that could get you anywhere close that. Wait until Cyber Monday it will create an even bigger gap. When they offered these type of deals before (also deals were never that big) we didn’t have BGs and it’s causing issues and after Cyber Monday forget it the gap will be insane.
You do understand that a competitive game mode is supposed to be... competitive right?
The whole point is that you wont always win.
There will be skill caps, and roster caps. And only the best of the best will actually make it to the top.
You do understand this is a competitive mode right?
There should not be a roster caps in this and that also when you can basically shop your roster.
What makes you think competitive modes shouldn't have roster caps?
If you can purchase your roster, then roster cap shouldn't be there in bg. And if you say keeping roster cap is competitive then your definition of being competitive is very different than mine.

Building your roster over the years is one of the most fundamental parts of this game. If we go with your idea of removing roster caps, then you might as well give everyone every champ. Except no, that wont happen because it makes no sense.
This is the issue, game launched as mostly single player with progression based in 2014~15, which is nice. But later in 2020 multiplayer games started to gain lots of traction and kabam somehow thought their progression based single player game will anyhow fit with multiplayer competitive scenario as well. And that's why bg cones into picture and even single player modes are dry now.

Arena has been part of the game since the very beginning. While not true PvP, you still had to have deep rosters to win. AW came along and that added another layer of needing roster depth or basically Mystics (Mystic wars anyone?).
AQ came along and it wasn't really anything until they introduced prestige. All of this was well before 2020.

They are still competitive modes. You can't be in Masters with R1 6*'s. BG's isn't true PVP either. You aren't fighting your opponent directly. it's basically just like AW. The difference is the fight timer.

First of all they are not going for same reward.
Second you can setup a competitive mode by simply setting a pool of 45/60 champs for a particular season and everyone will have same rarity as attack and defence .
Like 60 6* r4 champs each season, then players can select whom to put in ther deck and then it depends on their skill and draft.

A lot of the biggest PVP games with a rank system you don’t have ways to just buy an advantage because the stuff you spend on is cosmetic.
Let’s look at call of duty for example I can start an account get to the lvl where I can join ranked and get to legendary which is the top rank without a single dollar and compete with the same guys who have spent thousand plus and even pass them because skill is the number 1 thing you need to compete where this game in BGs the #1 thing is your roster which can be purchased it’s pretty crazy.

Everyone in BG"s is competing for the same rewards since the goal of BG's is to make it as far as you can. A UC account is trying to get as far as they can and there isn't a separate mode for them to compete in.

BG and AW are very very different
My guy, i've already explained that. I am comparing AW and BGs in terms of PVP. BGs is not true PVP. True PvP is that you're actually playing against another player. They're fight you directly. You're only fighting their defender but it's A.I.
There is no way you can progress after arcane in bg if you are not spending **** ton of money.
This was ok till game don't had many competitive modes.
Now game completely focus on player against player mode as most of account progress rewards come from it.
So, basically swipe 500~1000 buck every 3 month to stay competitive.
I have stopped AQ, story mode also cut down, Side Quest and Monthly quest have meh reward with very easy difficulty so this month I didn't even explored.
Mostly I play bg and there I am always up against 15 r5 and few r2s with 19k prestige.
Seems like no more fun playing this game.
I haven't spent money at all and I've been doing great, you sure ur not just I dunno, trying hard enough
