people have cried out forever saying "stop releasing so many champs. slow down on releasing new champs till you fix old ones" hopefully this experiment works and we see more of it. at 250+ champs in game there really is room to slow down release of new champs and focus on making old ones better.
as long as this become financially viable of course. so it makes sense they have waited till the release of 7* to do this so they have a better chance of crystal sales.
so what i take form this, is do not expect to see a buff of a champ that is already a 7*. only expect to see buffs of champs that do not exist as 7* if they continue this method.
I really don’t get how you can think this is a bad thing, there are SO many champs in dire need of reworks and this update is a sign that we might see more of that. And if you already have Iron man, you get to play with a new version of him that can actually compete in the current state of the game. In what world is that bad?

don't think anyone in this thread said it was a bad thing. OP merely asked a question

I am not saying it is good or bad i am just asking a question. I am a new player and looking back at old releases there has usually been two champions. I was just wondering why is there only one Playable champion this month.

because instead of spending the time on another new champ they revamped an old one who desperately needed it
I like the idea of one new champion being released each month and an improvement to one that a lot of people might have but don’t use. That seems like an excellent response to the oft lamented buff program. It can make a lot of people happy who might otherwise lack the ability to chase a new champ but have a kind of crappy one who’s collecting misery dust.

Shoot, I misread the tone pretty badly here. Sorry about that to the thread author
To be honest I do like the idea of 2 new champions Per month. Why couldn’t Kabam just do that and buff an older champion per month?
Because then you'd be more likely to get a yondu or a guillotine and not a magneto or a kingpin. This iron man rework is on the level of an entirely new champion and he should be considered as such. He has an entirely new model, animations and ability set. The old version might as well have not existed in the game before now. Extremely pro player move by Kabam which also allows them to give more time, budget and care to each buff. We have over 250 champions in this game. Give the older duds some love

the work they have done on ironman is essentially the same as making a new champ. they could have just added a new ironman but then you know no one has him and old one still sucks. this is a very very good thing.
there is 250 champs in game. i think it is ok for them to slow down and make old useless champs viable.
