1) His sp1 puts a debuff that reduces attack rating by 50%. Yes. Half. That itself makes him insanely tanky. That and it reduces AAR by 40%. Insane.
The incredible thing is you're actually underselling it. It is -65% defensive ability accuracy. If you're just spamming SP1 the whole fight, that is approaching Magneto level reduction across all champion types, not just #metal.
To this point, the great thing is that he will likely continue to receive synergies. He is a 2017 champion, and he still received synergies with Black Cat and Spot last year and Moondragon this year.

You're definitely not an end game player if you're still asking this kind of question about kingpin
Respectfully disagree. I'm Paragon, have completed and explored almost all content the game has on offer (except Act 6, and I haven't run Abyss due to dated rewards), and I never use my KP. I ranked him up due to hype, but there's never been a time when I'm like "Yeah, Kingpin is the answer for this quest".
That's totally fine. Just like for the last several years, ppl have kept saying how crazy Apoc and Nick Fury are. But for me, I have never used them and thought I have to use them for one fight. The game is very diverse now. It's okay that you don't like a specific champ. You can always find their selling points in other champs.
He’s just the best- high damage, fast kills. There are so many ways to get the overpower buff and you can further amp him with his fury buffs. His shrugging ability is op too especially if you use hood (who is also amazing)

Ha...I got those two late, too, and still don't see the hype.
If you ever feel that these nodes are going to be tricky, take kingpin.
Example, in current BG, once you fire an sp1 and you keep firing those, not only the opponent degens, his AA reduction does not let them gain prowess.
He hits really hard. Shrugs debuffs (except don't use against void) Heals throughout with willpower Bump bump , unstoppable Tanky Can take on a lot of tricky champions
Mine is r4 duped and gets wins in BG easily. Is a good defender too.
He is actually a really fun apoc counter, sure he never hits overpower, but 20+ rage stacks gets nutty
Wow, I never really thought about that. I always avoid taking my Kingpin against champions that counter his purify ability, but I may have to rethink that.

I've definitely surprised some people in BG with that one
