Why is this month’s event quest so difficult?

Why is this month event quest so difficult? Tier one are three stars and tier 2 are four stars but when you get to tiers 3 through five, it’s six star, seven star, and seven star again. At first, I thought it was a bug and figured it should’ve been tier 3 - 5 star, tier 4 - 6 star, and tier 5 - 7 star. Up to this point it no one has questioned it. It goes from easy to hard to down right impossible for a mid to end tier player (Cavalier) like myself. Kabam, please look into this

Back when i was cav i was unable to do the highest tier. But that was 1.5 years or so ago. As a Cav i don't think you are expected for tier 5. I think tier 3 is for you. You should still be able to do tier 4 i guess if you figure out correct counters.

@Mandagar I am CAV also. I would say "average" skill. I too am finding Tier 4 very challenging. I might have a look at the difference in T 3 vs. 4 rewards and move down a Tier to move up in terms of enjoyment.....

The real question is, why are the rewards so bad?

I don’t think it is difficult, but it’s not much worth the time and effort either.

4 fights, what kind of rewards do you want for four fights?

Tier 3 feels more like tier 5 with all the buffs and those juiced up 6*s. My point earlier was that there is a steep climb from easy to hard to you got to be a god/Pro in order to tackle tier 5. The past few months I could handle tier 3 (that being the past few months that had events broken into tiers(excluding last month)). Tier 3 was more medium-hard for me in the past but it was doable.

What does the number of fights have to do with anything? It could just be one challenging fight and pay out better rewards. For paragon/valiant players, this particular event is just lacking.

Cavalier isn't end tier anymore though. Once upon a time it was. Now there are 3 more levels higher. Simply, develope your roster more, push higher story content and rank up those champs. Then tier 4 and 5 won't feel so tough. Your just lacking counters.

You don't have to do all 4 fights. Do the ones you can get through comfortably. Sure, you may miss out on some small rewards, but the main rewards come from the chest in the store. You can get those by dueling or finding the matchups throughout the game. Get the shovel and it's really just one boss fight.

I think part of the issue with some is the 3-person team instead of 5. For whatever reason, it messes with your head. Reminder that with limited entries, play within your limits.

If I may try to assemble everyone's comments:
More progression levels with the same amount of Event/Side quests means difficulty slides downhill to keep the top-tier happy. That slide effects the casual/mid player the most as they just want to have fun and don't wish to invest too much time/effort/money into the game. And since rewards haven't progressed along with the increase in difficulty mid to low tier players can't get the necessary resources to build/rank 5 & 6-star champions to keep up.
    That sound right?

Truthfully I’m not worried about tiers 4 & 5 but my issue is with tier 3. Tier 3 should pit you against 5-stars instead of 6-stars. Tier 4 should pit you against 6-stars instead of 7-stars and tier 5 can have the 7-stars for the more hardcore players demanding a challenge. Usually the tiers go Easiest (1), Easy (2), Medium (3). Hard (4), and Hardest (5). This month looks and feels like Easiest (1), Easy (2), then jumps to Hard (3), Harder (4), and Hardest.

As a paragon player, I always go for the highest tier event quest only

To be honest, the rewards of this month event quest are very underwhelming. I think Kabam is trying to keep the players’ focus on Black Friday Event and Necropolis.

People have been complaining about the rewards in monthly content for years now. Were they building hype for the Necropolis back in 2018?
