Looks like if your alliance runs (and fully explores) map 7 or 8 every day, you can do raids every other time (once every 8 weeks) without having to buy any raid tickets.
Daily map 6 would require that you buy 12 tickets every 8 weeks (900 glory).
It's very complicated and I don't want to be that guy but based on what we've seen every time a new piece of content comes out - it's not going to work when it's released, will be cancelled within 6 hours and postponed until "the team" look at.
Extreme TL;DR
-You get a role, with associated champs to choose from -You and 2 other go on 1 path as a team (X, Y and Z) -You go in (X), do missions during the fight (something like against the Grandmaster), so you make one of your teammate (Y) stronger -You wait for your teammate (Z) to finish their fight to make you stronger, you (X) go in again, and at max you chip away 10% health. -Rinse and repeat -Profit
Since there's no video guides explaining, why not provide free entry for the first month for everyone to attempt and figure it out. That would also encourage lower tiers alliance to attempt.
Any reason battlechips and gold were left out as currency to purchase the raids tickets? It would be nice to have as many options as possible left open to us. Thank you.
Im probably in the minority but id rather see this instead of aq, and move aq rewards to this format. I do map 7 bossrush now cause we couldn't even be motivated enough to do map 8 bossrush. The worst thing for me would be having to explore an aq map + do this.
Different strokes for different folks tho, it is what it is.
I have been playing for around 5-6 years. In all this time, there is only one game mode i despised with a deep passion. AQ being that game mode. All this time, the store change was great, the set up process and flexibility to pick which days to run AQ is a big, BIG Improvement. But this change in adding Raids that includes something AQ has never provided before: Shards. Thats the icing on the cake. While AQ still can feel like a chore, it is now into a game mode that players can make of it, and shape in any way to fit their personal goals in the game. Raids also add opportunities for your top players in the alliance to shine, and grants general challenges without filler fights in between. This is the first time in a long time i felt any shred of joy towards AQ. Looking forward to January 15th.

How much were you paid to write this
This is genuine. Im not saying i love AQ. I still despise it, but the changes they have made to it were much needed. Raids give something new to AQ, something you can actually look forward to rather than the same repetitive maps we are used to. Having even 1 of every 4 weeks spark some excitement is something AQ could have never done for me without this change.
So uh...did anyone notice the paywall mechanic in raids?
'Bosses can only lose 10% of their max HP per fight' then they kill you
...they seriously put an item paywall mechanic into these? Why?
I’m hoping that is meant for the final boss only. 10% per BG member times 10 BG members is 100%.
It said 'shared among bosses' so I am wholly unoptimistic. If it's *every* miniboss, that means once unlimited items are lifted, we are required to burn at minimum 9 revives just to GET to the final boss. I'm sorry, that's unacceptable.

Huge ticket cost and huge item cost to clear.
The idea seems great, but they seem to have gotten greedy on the execution. Cost out weighs the rewards! And putting a paywall in-front of it will kill it off straight away.

Completely agree. Make the rewards bare minimum if needed but give us a week to try it out with no cost/consequences and 1 glory revives with 40% healing. We will probably figure it out ourselves without a video guide.
New game mode but no how to guide or basic tutorial?
When AW placement phase was launched there were pages and pages of questions in that thread with zero response from Kabam…. And that’s an existing game mode. I’m sure this roll out will be super smooth and not be frustrating at all

Thank you but still, that Kabam thread was posted yesterday after I started to write my post…. And forgot to hit post comment. I guess it’s better than nothing but like I said, they did the same thing with AW placement phase and the rollout was far from smooth. Hundreds of posts asking questions and zero replies from Kabam mods in that head.
A video would be great, but it's going to either be tight, or not happen. We had a video made based on Beta Footage, but it's wildly outdated already, and we don't have a lot of capacity to make a new video right now, and we had to save that capacity for regular videos, like Deep Dives, etc.
Honestly, all that text, it needs a video. Make it happen 🤞🤞

As for the champ pools - no accident that Herc was omitted.
