I personally Think it was great for valiant, but not exciting for paragon as there is a chance of No "instant gratification" if the player has less than 7500 shards (I had enough shards for my next 7* though).
And finally got the king from the abyss nexus Thank you kabam.

    It went from an abyss for paragons to abyss+7500 shardes. While for tbs 30 extra sig stones

    Chose science for abyss nexus, the only one worth picking was Sandman (was hoping for someone to use my 4-5 gem on). Got enough 7* shards to open a basic, got overseer (who I heard isn’t very good unduped). Kinda disappointed but it is what it is

    Overseer is solid unduped, atleast in bgs.
    He has unique abilities as a science champ, He is a great 7* to have.

    The Cavaliers are saddest people lol getting totally trash really its a gift?? at least 10,000 6* shards would have been better. :(

    When thronebreaker only get a 6*, we can't expect much

    But atleast it's a 6* rankup gem crystal, you can rankup a good champ, I won't complain about cav gift

    I’m a firm believer that rewards for progressions should reflect the meta that title was still relevant in. Obv, banquet completely defied that principle, but this “gift” embraced it. Folks should take it as a clue to go get the Grandmaster.

    My only question is: why was the cavalier gift downgraded from a generic 1-2 last year to a random rank up 1-2 crystal this year? - (2 random 1-2 crystals are now in nerfed act 5 exploration rewards) 🤔

    If I was a paragon player, I wouldn’t complain about a free gift.

    As a Valiant player it’s disappointing but Road to the Crypt is a coming so that’s good.
