Hello, everyone, so in next Event Quest and maybe side quests and possibly in future BG decks we will encounter Serpent... he seems like a scary defender. Who will you use for countering him? I have a few ideas but that also depends on the nodes he will have.

Don't forget that acid burns are direct damage ignoring resistances and the weakness on block are super useful. His sp1 also spaces across the map so he can corner serpent for the whole fight.

Chavez will reverse his power gain and gain a ton of attack rating in the fight. She will also be spamming specials throughout the fight, shutting down his Culforce Charge gain rate. Finally, Chavez’s damage output is silly even against opponents without buffs, but Serpent has at least one and I believe up to three buffs that could be active on him at any time. And, if you do make a mistake and get hit or just get chipped down by block damage, she can heavy cancel into sp2 on her blue dimension and heal right back up. She’ll rip him apart.

As a r3 awakened Chavez owner, I truly hope you’re right. But based on DLL’s spotlight context video I watched last night, I wouldn’t be putting all my eggs in one basket just yet.

I see you, too, are a man of culture (r3 awakened Chavez gang). Yeah, I fully admit that this is all just theoretical until the rubber hits the road. But even if her damage does get gimped by all his resistances, I think she’ll still have great control over the fight.

Also, I know it’s an oldie but he’s a classic for a reason: Doom. Power steal works, and nullifying Serpent’s power gain will let Doom special spam with ease.

I solo'd with Kushala on first try.

Is he supposed to glow red or was that a visual bug? You never know these days...
