I mean let's be honest man back in the day the lower progressions were honestly a game of endurance. You would have to sit months on end to make significant progress and that drove a LOT of players away, when I started playing mcoc 7 yrs ago, a bunch of my friends did too, currently I'm the only one in that circle that's still playing. You gotta understand man at the end of the day it's a mobile game, most people wouldn't stick to a game that forces them to invest a ton of time and have patience to wait for months just to take a chance on rng, especially one that's this complex.
The complexity of the game alone has driven some players to quit because for them that took the fun out of the game.

SS has all that utility but she’s still not meta relevant and not a single high-tier player would use her. I’ve fought in the upper ranks of GC and fought the biggest whales and not a single person would pick her. You know who was in nearly every deck? Bishop and Silk. Try using SS against more meta relevant defenders and she’d get cooked by faster and better options like Silk and Bishop

People don’t use her because she isn't meta relevant and I haven’t been trying to argue that she is, what i said is that she has a better overall kit, the only reason silk and bishop are still somewhat relevant is because they can deal damage faster, but actually they both have fallen off I’ve barely seen any silks or bishops the entire season and i’ve been m3-m1 the entire time even with the current meta being in bishops favor.

And buff control and power control, and is one of the only champs in the game that can increase their own ability accuracy which is actually one of the most broken pieces of utility, and slow doesn’t just counter unstoppable and even if it did it’s still really good by itself all it really does is stall which is still good but combined with other nodes and abilities can be really annoying. you’re acting like silk doesn’t have slow as well so basically you’re saying silk has no utility

Silk isn't a utility machine, and yes objectively Sorcerer Supreme has more. Wanna know what she doesn't have though? Enough damage to finish fights in 20 secs before any annoying abilities from most defenders trigger. Damage > utility, Silk > Sorcerer Supreme, you can cry about it and argue all you want but nobody is using Sorcerer Supreme in GC (or VT for that matter) for a reason 💀

Welcome to the club mate, I had to finish 7.2 just to get my first r3 for thronebreaker. It gets easier to rank up champs in this game constantly, otherwise new players would never be able to make it to the endgame, and the game would not have a very consistent playerbase for a lot of content.

The game is in a different place (7-stars and Valiant being the top Progression) compared to where it was 2-3 years ago. Would you prefer that 8.4 have similar restrictions (needing to wait 6 months to get a champ to be able to handle 8.4.6 Glykhan)? Would you prefer that 9.1 have an 8-star champion restriction that you have to wait 1 year to be able to do?
It was pretty bad design back then, so just because old players had to experience the pain, doesn't mean that this bad design needs to continue.

People don’t use her because she isn't meta relevant and I haven’t been trying to argue that she is, what i said is that she has a better overall kit, the only reason silk and bishop are still somewhat relevant is because they can deal damage faster, but actually they both have fallen off I’ve barely seen any silks or bishops the entire season and i’ve been m3-m1 the entire time even with the current meta being in bishops favor.

Yeah, Silk’s evade is a lifesaver. Onslaught is a meta relevant defender and silk nukes him in under 40 seconds and you don’t even have to worry about dexing the sp1 or dealing with the sp2. She wasn’t fantastic during fisticuffs since she relies on debuffs like a lot of others, but she’s great in most metas. Counters a ton of meta relevant defenders and nukes pretty much everyone in the mystic class in a sp2
Also funny that he thinks they’ve fallen off or smth. I’ve seen a ton, and I know that they’re both still doing great from using them. Bishop is a cook this meta and counters bullseye which makes his value skyrocket (literal 30 second bullseye fights with him).

Also I didn't prove anything, Silk has a better kit than SS whether you like it or not. Sure objectively SS has more but more ≠ better, Jubilee is a great example of this.

The complexity of the game alone has driven some players to quit because for them that took the fun out of the game.
Practically every game does something like this over time. As the new player and the endgame get further apart, you're bound to see some concessions. You haven't even seen what's on the horizon for the rest of the year yet.

More players being able to reach TB+ due to reward availability and design changes is a good thing in terms of health of the game and competition (I imagine that , if you are Paragon, you'd be matched against more new Paragon's that your years of experience trying to beat 6.2 Medusa would give you an edge over).
The game is in a different place (7-stars and Valiant being the top Progression) compared to where it was 2-3 years ago. Would you prefer that 8.4 have similar restrictions (needing to wait 6 months to get a champ to be able to handle 8.4.6 Glykhan)? Would you prefer that 9.1 have an 8-star champion restriction that you have to wait 1 year to be able to do?
It was pretty bad design back then, so just because old players had to experience the pain, doesn't mean that this bad design needs to continue.
