The visual “whole number” points shown for either of the HP Remaining's is internally calculated out as fractional (with decimal places). Just rounded to show on screen.
The underlying fractional numbers for HP Remain are actually what is used, and that fractional difference could then result in someone winning even though it looks like a tie.
*note, the TIME category doesn’t ever come out to fractional, because of the base numbers involved (number of seconds, which itself is NOT in milliseconds, and the max # of Time Points are wholly dividable). While the HP base numbers are not so round numbers (Health for a champ typically are never in 1000’s of Max Health).
I think it proves that kabam prefers HP over time taking to clear a fight
Nope, because let's assume the pic shown above is (including fractions) 10,406.1 vs 11,162.3 for Attacker HP, which is why opponent won. That extra 0.2 fraction of a point.
Let’s reverse that fraction and if it was 10,406.3 vs 11,162.1, then poster would have won instead.
Even though on-screen would have seemed like a Tie in either case.
Note, there *IS* such a thing as an actual TIE, but typically full 100% and 0% on HP entries, with same Time. That results in a split-color (half Blue, half Red) banner for that fight. Which this wasn’t.
What’s basically happened is you’ve drawn on points so it’s chosen the champ with the highest remaining health as the winner. It is a bit unfair as usually it’s the player who has the points who wins the round and since both equal it’s by all means a draw. Unfortunately there is no mechanic for a draw in this game, there was once in the arena thanks to damage over time both champs died at exactly the same time but all that did was cause the game to crash and award the fight to my opponent.
