They should make it so that we can exchange these awakening gems for 7*sig stones or even 6* sigstones, anything

Awakening gems should also work as 20 Sig stones as if you opened the character from a crystal again... They're an extremely valuable resource until you run out of champs that need them but Kabam treats them as having the extreme value for everyone.

If I remember correctly, there was an event in the last year or so that allowed players to trade them in for something else. I wasn't at the point where I couldn't use them at the time so I forget what they were traded for. Another offer like that would be handy.

There are definitely a couple items that should be able to be converted into a lesser resource (that isn't just a couple gold) once you're unable to use them... but I'm not sure if 6* awakening gems fit the bill. Inevitably, you'll get less and less of them while we move on to higher tiers and, as more champs come out, I suspect you'll be happy to have those in reserve.
