That’s it, that’s all. Never bring it back again please, thanks. -Sincerely, Almost your entire playerbase
Seconded. As a mid valiant player, I am still trying to improve my skill, draft strategy, and roster. I have zero clue if either is happening with this node. I inexplicably win and lose with no feedback whatsoever. There is no satisfaction in winning any match at all. For all I know, my opponent suffered crushed charge and then on the next special my defender gained unblockable. And I have been on the other side of this despite strategically having a favorable matchup….
It’s a total garbage node that rips competitiveness from the game. Your reward for trudging through a lengthy VC season is to have your rank ups and effort mean zip in the GC meta.

Was fighting a domino and got crushed while I had unlucky so I just had to sit there and eat a sp1 crit to the face. Funny thing is I still would've won if the special didn't crit smh
Not kidding at all, all it takes is for your opponent to become unblockable- or for you to get the crushed debuff on you once; and it’s pretty much an immediate turn in the match. Matches that I should be winning easily, all of a sudden go to the opponent- simply due to pure RNG. In a more casual gamemode? Sure, that could be fun. In the gladiator circuit, aka one of the only truly competitive game modes in the game? No. Nodes like this do not belong in the GC.
Guys, why so many threads about the GC nodes??!? You either like it, or you don't!! Or you think if we make enough complaints they will change the meta??

1) there is one thread on this on page 1. 2) you have people entering GC at different times - so they will experience the fiasco at different times.
You want them to necro threads pages back? Or their complaints and thoughts don’t matter since they were in GC when the node flipped?

Hint: If there are so many people talking about it in that way, chances are that quite a bit of people don’t enjoy the node. Also, I’ve been in the GC for quite a while now. I post about 9-10 in a row, simply due to the fact that I got the bad side of the dice roll. Like I replied to someone else earlier, this mode doesn’t belong in a competitive based mode. In the victory track though? Sure. Why not.

That's what makes it so fun. A random buff or debuff can be the difference between a win and a loss. It's all sheer luck and I personally find that entertaining.
I rahter this nodes than last season nodes where it was a nuke feast. Last seaon was no skill involved at all, pick the right attacker and it was over in less than 30 seconds every fight. That was boring. Sure there is luck involved sometimes but at least it makes it more of a challenge and since both players have the same nodes, it fine in my opinion.

There is nothing challenging about losing matches over and over because opponents' champions keeps starting with or randomly go unblockable after a special, or the worst when you start with crushed on you and keep getting damaging debuffs on you after specials. It's just silly.

I know I’m rather late to reply to this comment, but on top of that- besides the actual battlegrounds store rewards you can buy; the ladder rewards aren’t worth actually trying to climb further into GC. Especially not when the node is like this. I have many quantum+ friends of mine, that are calling it quits once they’ve gotten that high up- mind you these are the same friends that typically get mysterium or celestial. I feel like that alone speaks for itself.
It seems like every new BG meta, there will always be post that it's the worst meta. To me personally the last GC meta was the worst since there was just a nuke fest. This meta RNG does make it harder sometimes (you are not going to get crush or unblockable on ever fight) but it makes it more interesting. With this meta I don't try to parry right away due to crush and unblockable. I tried to dex first to see what buffs we are both getting. Also since it's an RNG madness for both summoner's, I can live with it. I won and lost fights with 50 plus points as well as with under 10k points. That's the RNGness of this meta.

Cause almost nobody's enjoying it and they're voicing their opinions just like you are?
Just get rid of crush and unblockable, and that will make it 100 times more enjoyable, and still competetive.
Unblockable is tolerable with the right defender, but Crush is a nightmare since there is no counter.
I "fought" a defender that had crush buff/crush debuff on me as soon as "FIGHT" disappeared. I tried to attack, but had a dropped input. Go figure. The next hit registered but got me parried, and beat into oblivion by the defender.
I just stared at the screen, then laid my phone down......SOFTLY.

I’m not super crazy about the GC nodes myself, but since the buffs/debuffs you get are random, you can’t blame constantly losing over and over on the nodes. Your opponent is also facing the same random effects, so you should only be at a disadvantage in about half your matches. You should also be winning due to your opponent getting bad effects.
Complaining about the match results being random is one thing. Complaining that a random node is causing you to lose constantly is probably misplaced frustration.

If they remove crush & unblockable . I think I will enjoy it.
I wouldn't be so sure. I got back-to-back shock on Onslaught while fighting him. Definitely did not enjoy the node then.
Power lock, suppression or power drain should have been part of the node
If you added those instead you would instantly lose 50% health against Galan who is already very strong because of rich get richer. It would've been worse than Onslaught having shock or incinerate.

I understand where you’re coming from and yes, people that complain will always find something to complain about- but this node is genuinely one of the least competitive nodes to date. What you just mentioned in that last part about “RNG” is exactly why I hated this node. Even if I played the fight perfectly, all it would take would be one bad dice roll- and I lose the match. A node like that, has no place in a competitive mode. The better player should always win, that’s the whole point of competition. Luck shouldn’t win or lose someone a match.

Even a perfect match up can end bad, I find that funny and fun
