Beta testing

Ok so I signed up to the beta test and afterwards noticed that it says my progress won't transfer to main servers. Does this mean I have to wait until beta test is over so that I can finish my last two paths of uncollected?

Oh, and the abilities descriptions of Luke Cage and Red Hulk in the beta server are the same as the ones in normal mode... is it correct?

So being in beta locks us out of versus and inventory in main game I hope this is a temporary bug

Since you have to be invited in, this is a closed beta. Normally, closed betas are supposed to be kept confidential until the beta participants are released from the beta. I'm surprised Kabam didn't make you sign off on a beta agreement. In every other closed beta I've participated in, I had to agree to terms that included not discussing the contents of the beta outside of the beta group until the beta test concluded.

There should be some kind of beta forum, probably a hidden section of this forum only the beta participants have access to. That's probably where all discussion of the beta should be confined to. I wasn't invited in, so I can't say for certain.

I'm a bit scared to enter honestly. I have some serious arena grinding to do and it sounds like others are locked out of that now.

So since testing out the champs in beta realm, when I switch back to the normal realm I can't access arenas (which I was trying to go for punisher 2099) and I don't have a glory or loyalty tab in my shop..

Still cannot access the beta server, and now it's holding me up on ranking up other champs since I'd like to r5 Rulk in the Beta for real testing but now I can't r5 my quake or I'll lose the cats needed for the beta rank up. I get the staggered rollout, but over 24 hours? I'll likely just skip participating if I can't test with an r5 since that's what I usually use.

In order to log into the beta server, I found that logging into your actual kabam account with whatever email you used will get you into the beta... I had the exact same problem as you guys. I have both an iPhone & a Galaxy Note, so whenever I would open the game & get logged in via Apple's "Game Center" or Android's version of that, I would get that nonsense.

1. Go into the settings, log in with your Kabam account (i.e. physically put your email & password in)
2. The select to join the beta via that new icon
3. The game will load & you then should see that "preview" number show up (this is the beta)
4. When the beta loads it'll ask you to link this profile, just click the "X" button, every time that I've linked it up it knocks me out of the beta & takes me back to the main server
5. Enjoy testing

the participate button on mine has been greyed out since the beta event started and now the beta button has vanished from the screen. i never got a chance to try it even once

Now I have THREE of them, but still, Luke Cage and Red Hulk are not the enhanced versions, but usual ones... and the only way to go back to normal server is still to close the game and wait that the session expires (or killing the app),to be able to have again the server selection at the beginning. I feel like I’m not testing 2 champions but I’m simply testing the beta testing, lol.
Oh, and every time I log back in to normal server I have again to switch to my language, ‘cause beta is in English and coming back to standard does not restore original language

Eu joguei com Luke Cage porem ainda percebo que esta muito fraco, minhas frustações com relação a ele sempre foi essa, pois ele é meu único imune a sangramento. Porem não podia contar com ele devido ser muito fraco.
Outra coisa que achei ruim se é um beta porque esta com limite de energia ? poderia ser ilimitada para testar com mais probabilidades.

This might be the first wide-invite closed beta. The previous betas might have been what some game companies call "friend and family" betas, where a very small set of people outside the devs are hand-picked to beta test.

In my experience, beta tests come in four forms:

"Friends and family." Very small, usually hand picked. Often less than fifty people.

Restricted closed beta. Invite only, usually players are chosen to represent a wide range of player segments. For a game this size, probably in the 100 to 1000 player range.

Unrestricted closed beta. Invite plus requests, usually done in phases, generally between 500 and 10,000 players maximum when all phases invited.

Open beta. Anyone can join, within beta size limits. Can be anything up to and including the entire playerbase.

If they are making the jump between the first kind and the second kind (or the third kind), there's all sorts of infrastructure and operational systems that have to be created to support that kind of beta that aren't necessarily required for the first kind. I was in an F&F beta once where I basically had an entire server all to myself, because that beta only had maybe four people testing things. That obviously didn't require all of the stuff going on to support the beta Kabam seems to be running now.

Update on stuck in Beta Mode!!!

If you don’t link your beta account with Kabam by logging in then you won’t have the option to switch back and forth. At least that solved it for me
