iphone 8 vs X getting new phone?

so... i've heard/read there might have been a ton of issues with the iphone X.... blah blah blah.... I'm wondering if those issues have been resolved as of now. Also on a similiar train of thought, i plan on upgrading very soon (like today or tommorow). Should i get the 8 or the X? i've heard the X has no home button and you swipe to close apps.... is that a problem for medium attacks... cause you swipe?

To play MCOC get iPhone 8. I bought the iPhone X and the game is unplayble on it. Now carrying my old iPhone 7 to play the game. I hate carrying 2 phones but what can I do.

The iPhone X puts me off because of the "notch". I can't pay that much for a phone which has part of the screen missing - intentionally! Steve Jobs would have had a fit with that design, I've no idea how they signed it off.

So I have an iPhone X and I bought it 3 weeks ago. I haven't had a single issue with lag since I got it. Seriously. The notch shouldn't affect you. Not sure why people are saying it affects them since its about as think as the boarder of older iPhones. The main issue with the iPhone X is the game thinking someone is pressing the back button over and over again. Some days it works flawlessly while others I cant get into arena because every time I get to the next screen, the game thinks im pushing the back button and takes me to the home screen. If becomes frustrating. This phantom button pressing causes the character to dash back and forwards randomly or keeps your character in the block position as if im holding down the screen. This is all suppose to be fixed with the 17.0 update, but the timing for this hasn't been announced. Until it gets fixed, going for a legends run or getting in the top 800 in arena is impossible.

The iPhone x is a great phone. The lack of a home button and the notch are not an issue. Closing background apps is a bit annoying though.

MCOC is not optimized for the iPhone x and Kabam is apparently still working on that. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for that if I was you. They game does not play/respond correctly.

8 plus is fine if you don't mind the bulkiness and aren't too into facial recognition....MCOC plays perfect on that.

for anyone wondering i ended up getting the X. I have had no issues at all. And just did a legend run in under 4 hours no issue.

I've had an X for about a week now. I was having problems with it initially, but I discovered that if I put the phone down and played with it resting on a table instead of being held in my hands, the controls always registered correctly. I've since discovered through experimentation that holding the phone in your hands to play can be problematic because sometimes your hands wrap around and make contact with the screen, especially my left hand. Because the screen is edge to edge in the X, this is more problematic than on a 7 or 8. That combined with the fact the phone is slightly taller (i.e. wider) made my fingers sometimes make a different swiping motion than before, causing controls to sometimes register wrong because my fingers subtly made a different motion relative to the screen, and sometimes because the screen was getting multiple inputs by accident.

I can grind arena with the phone in my hand. If a mistake happens no biggie. If I'm doing something like running uncollected, the phone must be out of my hands and on a flat surface. Then everything works completely fine for me.

Bingo. That’s what I’ve been saying from the get go. The edge to edge and the fleshy part of your hand contacting it.

I will Say though, at times, the controls are a tad bit off. Like if my finger even moves a millimeter while I’m blocking it will dash forward or backward. So I don’t think they have the controls perfectly optimized for the X yet, but it’s leagues better than playing on my previous 7.

I had iPhone X for a week , unplayable ! Now i’m Happy with the 8 . The screen sensitivity was horrible on iPhone X , hold block and swipe back are way off
