Broken AI uses sp3 while at 2.5 bars of power

This isn’t mine, although it’s happened to me, this is a good video of what’s happening. Saw this on reddit and wanted to post it here for visibility. The defender seemingly dashes back to complete a prompt, gains about half a bar of power and uses a sp3 within a single frame. Although it’s very clearly never displaying the 3 bars of power. Why and how can they do this and how are they getting away with doing this??

I’ve noticed too that they can throw sp2 before they have two bars of power and today I even had one that threw an sp1 after it had over two bars, though that only happened once. Threw me off as I was planning for the sp2

Enchantress and FAM both can throw sp1 when over 2 bars of power, FAM needs to finish a combo with a light first and Enchantress just does it as a defender for her first couple specials. Anyone else with out specific nodes is weird.

Wow, so it's not a me problem. I was fighting White Tiger on the sq she had two full bars of power and maybe a little above half to the third one and she hits me with a sp3, I wasn't recording so I had to leave with the feeling of "maybe I missed something maybe it's a bug"

That's what happened to me in bgs, can't remember exactly who I was fighting with or against, but I clearly remember them being at half a bar of power when I dashed in, only to get special intercepted mid-dash by their sp1. I swear that bar didn't even turn green when they threw it. That's just dumb.

So the issue isn't that he threw a special at 2.5 bars of power, the issue is that the AI can perform frame-perfect actions such as using your sp3 before the game visually updates the power bar.

Right here you see mojo dashing back which triggers his antilife field which also triggers an instant power gain. At this very moment, mojo has 3 bars of power, but the game hasn't had time to update the visuals to show he has 3 bars of power. This isn't the first time we have seen the AI able to throw a sp3 the literal instant they have 3 bars of power.

The game doesn't cheat. Mojo get's power gain from his anti-life field. You probably didn't see it go red because he threw it instantly.

I get that, and I’ve seen where they are at like 2.95 bars of power with a power gain, and they throw before it turns red, but in this particular instance, it definitely shouldn’t be possible as that means that within 1 frame (before the game can update the visual) he wa sable to dash back, get the buff, have the buff actually give him the power, and then use the Sp3. That should never be possible. The other cases where it’s much closer and no additional actions are necessary, make a little bit more sense.

Same happened to me against "Swamp" Thing. He had 2 bars of power but threw a Special 3 😂

This is the frame before the sp3. This is also the first frame of Mojo's dash back. When mojo triggers anti-life field with 3mil+ followers, he gains an instant power gain of up to 50% of a bar of power.

Here is the normal sequence for the average player:
Frame 1: Mojo dashes back and gets the instant power
Frame 2: the client updates the visuals to show that the power bar has been increased to the sp3
Frame 3: player sees that they have a sp3 and activates it
Frame 4: game plays the sp3

Here's what the AI can do though,
Frame 1: Mojo dashes back, gets the instant power. AI sees that they have an sp3 available and throws a sp3 input
Frame 2: Game accepts sp3 input and starts the animation.

I would like to add to this ( this has happened to me 1 or 2 times but not in same situation as OP ) they should fix that and reduce AI speed a bit

    anyway back to the video

it seems this is a war fight

it's probably on node 37 where if attacker is immune to something defender gains power gain passive

drip feed placebo and cassie being buff immune along with mojo's power gain cause him to go red and he threw sp3 but game failed to update visually before that sp3 was thrown

This is alliance war showcase mojo, you can tell because of the placebos and the close proximity regens. I personally used silk for this fight since buff immunes give him too much power.

Not only this. They will throw an sp3 when you’re already in the middle of the combo

    Make up your mind...
LOL your obsession with me is wild. Mordos Ai is the only worst Ai for me personally. That being said, the Ai really is chill for me
