Why I’m quitting the game. Busted AI, horrible RNG

I mean that sucks, but you can't just *assume* "the game" is capping the amount of new 7*s you get. I have the opposite problem, out of all my 7*s I've only ever duped 3. And on a lot of my 7*s I *want* the dupe.

Accidently posted stryfe by accident, but y’all get the point. Anyway, for those who are still playing. I hope you guys are all enjoying the game. And take care ❤️😁, the past 5 years back have been a blast. Anyway time to move on from mobile gaming.

You mean "accidentally posted good pulls"?

No one knows who you are.
I know him. And while those are generally good champions pulling sigs on them is near useless
It's Titan shards, it's ISO and they aren't bad pulls. Duping champs is part of the game. You can't play for 9 years and not understand this part of it. It's just crybaby whining.

I can understand being frustrated with AI but quitting because of RNG is stupid.
im quitting for a numerous amounts of things in the game. Like asking $80 dollars for 7* shards and titan shards. Which doesn’t guarantee anything but shards. Serpent staying unchanged, the recent AI being a pain. And yes, it sucks to grind 15K shards over and over again, only to dupe another champs. Also my last titan was a Nova dupe so don’t even bring up titan 😂.And it’s my time, if I decide I want to spend it somewhere else, other than this game, it’s my choice. Nothing stupid about it. The only thing that’s stupid, is that you care.
    1. If you're quitting because you spent $80 on shards, you could have stopped doing that instead. If you're quitting because other people are spending $80 on shards, you could have allowed them to spend their money on things you don't think are worth it instead.

    2. If you're quitting because the devs disagree with you about a balancing decision, I'm not sure how you lasted this long. Nor do I have any idea what activity you're going to be moving on to where everyone agrees with you all the time. Cult leader is the only option that comes to mind.

    3. It is in fact your time to do with as you wish, and if you aren't having fun anymore, then it is time to move on. But nobody says "this is why I'm quitting" when they just stop having fun and decide to leave. They do it because they think their quitting is supposed to be meaningful. I'm pretty sure thousands of players quit yesterday, and thousands will quit tomorrow. Thousands more will replace them. It happens with every mobile game. If you decide to quit, that's your choice, but it really shouldn't, and likely won't, affect anyone else's decisions nor the game developers.

You say it is stupid that another player cares about your reasoning. But if you think no one should care, why express it publicly? I'm pretty sure you want people to care.
Not really, the Devs genuinely do care why people quit. Especially big spenders. I didn’t spend $80 on the dumb deals cause their pricing was trash. I’m upset, that the AI is undoubtedly worse. Everyone literally agrees serpent should have gotten a nerf, not just me. So I don’t know what you’re talking about. Also where did you get the idea everyone needs to agree with meI’m just expressing why I’m leaving, for the people I regularly play with there are also numerous people who agree the AI has gotten worse. If it has nothing to do with you, why even spend all that time typing all that nonsense. And thousands of players don’t quit everyday. Your reasoning makes zero sense. All I did was express why I am quitting this game. I don’t need a cult to agree with me wtf, if anything MCOC has felt more like a cult than anything. I mean, just look, the second someone expresses any negative feelings on the game, we get smucks like you acting like it’s a sin to talk bad about game you zealots play every day Get a life 💀. And again, this is for kabam to see. They take this feedback, instead of wondering why players quitting randomly. So be useful and screw off. Also I do care. For the people I regularly played with and talk to in global, or the MCOC twitch chats, or the other players I’ve become friends with from other streamers BG streams. So yea, some people I do care. And kabam, what was your argument?
This is your lucky day, because I'm explicitly going to highlight your post for the devs to read, because I want them to take note of the fact that someone called me a smuck during a rant.

They say all rants are the same, but that's definitely new.
The middle school tattletale energy is strong. Imagine being upset enough by a random post on the internet to go complain to game team... wild.
I'm having difficulty imagining that myself.

Tbh I doubt anyone really cares. But this game just isn’t enjoyable at all anymore. I find no joy in the contest anymore, and I’m actually deleting the app and moving on, I can’t take the constant bull from the devs. This AI problem is whole issue for another story, but what upsets me, is the fact I’m pretty sure they cap how many new 7*s you get a month. How I know this, I don’t have that many 7* champs, but I keep duping the same ones over and over and over again, it makes grinding not really worth it, if all I’m gonna do is dupe the same champs over and over. At this point, I’m quitting mobile gaming as a whole, as it just feels to bull to enjoy them anymore. I’m tired of playing the game and rewarded with garbage and RNG. I’m not hating on the devs who accomplished a lot, keeping a game alive for 9 plus years, is very hard to do, and very hard to please everyone. But where the game is at rn, it’s not very enjoyable anymore. Maybe one day I’ll return, but for now, I’m officially done.

"See you again in two months."
I’ll take long break after the banquet event and after I make sure I’m my alliance will be ok for war when I’m taking my break. Marvel rivals is coming out soon, and tbh that game plus some other console games I wanna finish will br taking to much of my time to focus on the contest.

I'm never mad about pulling good champs even if sigs are relatively useless on them. I should be mad about a sig eighty Bishop or sig 60 Shuri when I need a first time dupe on Onslaught or Photon but it's fine. I'd rather get sigs on a good champ then sigs on a bad champ. I also can understand quitting the game because of bad AI but bad RNG? Come on dude.

It’s mostly due to the AI, and a big deal was serpent not getting nerfed. Yea he has some decent counters now, especially since people have gotten better with white tiger, they just need to lower his crit resistance by a tad bit, and nerf the power gain, on his revive, and we’re golden. The guy is a menace AW boss awakend while R3.

Like some fellow summoners mentioned, too much yap for someone who quit and the reasons are just 🤓😹😹 ai is horrible rn true but everyone is dealing with it, no one forced him to buy a terrible offer either, everyone has useless pulls and calling sigs on chavez "trash" is next level stupidity, you can't be pulling onslaught bullseye serpent every crystal

Yes sigs on Chavez is just straight overkill. She doesn’t even need her awakening to be overkill. And I’m not quitting permanent. I’m quitting until the fatigue for the game wears off. I saw kabam is working on the AI, but it makes no sense to me personally, cause AI is easier in story and event quest , but in battlegrounds or AW, they become a whole another player. And this dude, the irony of typing fellow summoners and placing this emoji 🤓, like come on, you walked yourself into that one 😭

Sig 120 VTD, sig 100 red goblin, sig 140 war machine, sig 100 invisible woman etc.

I care mate, and I am close behind you. They keeps saying it will take months. They need to urgently realize that this needs to happen NOW. Fix the AI put everything else on hold. How do you not see the threat to your game?

Actually, Kabam isn't just constantly saying "it will take months." In fact, they said a while back that due to all those technical complications about how AI works that hurt people's brains, it will be impossible to stabilize AI until an entire new AI system is created, which is to say they aren't replacing one AI system with another one, they are really building one for the first time ever, because what the AI used to do was just do random things that happened to look like entity AI.

Until that entirely new actual for-realsies AI mechanism is created for the game, the AI will never, ever, ever be 100% perfectly consistent. AI isn't broken. There is no AI. There's just a bunch of random twitching that looks like AI.

What exactly do you want them to do "now?" Build an entire AI system from scratch? Right now?
    Not release

I mean that sucks, but you can't just *assume* "the game" is capping the amount of new 7*s you get. I have the opposite problem, out of all my 7*s I've only ever duped 3. And on a lot of my 7*s I *want* the dupe.

It mostly just feels that way. Haven’t gotten a new 7* from the basic in 3 months. Really stings. It has gotten me to another titan, but my last titan was a NSTW dupe. And even though that’s good, I want to try out new 7* champs, not get sigs on a champ I won’t be using cause I’m already putting those resources into someone else like havoc.

Don't do this OP. This game and game team is doing great, minor AI issues aside. Quit if you want but this is just theft.

Get a refund on all your purchases that you can. Negative units mean nothing so at least get your money back from them.

This is not advisable. Once upon a time, when pretty much all online games required a subscription, this idea of "just charge back everything if you are unhappy to send a message" popped up. The idea was that credit card companies always side with the customer, and big companies can't afford to challenge the charge backs, so you can do whatever you want and there would be no consequences.

The problem was that the system eventually responded. Companies that got tons of charge backs started to get penalized by the card companies. And they in turn were forced to take action. And not just by banning the players either. Because the company had all your purchasing details, they could report you. And in some cases credit card companies and merchant banks decided to make examples of the worst offenders, citing them with fraud and sometimes even blackballing them from the credit card networks or directing complaints to credit reporting agencies, damaging people's credit history.

We're in a new age where a lot of this stuff is happening through app stores, Apple and Google in particular. And both companies insulate their customers from vendors. Kabam has no idea who you are or how you are paying for anything when you do an in-app purchase. So game companies are disconnected from their customers, and rely upon the app store operators to police fraud. Which, like the credit card companies in the past, they are not in a big hurry to do.

However, just like in the past, there may come a time when this form of "friendly fraud" becomes enough of a problem that the system decides to take action again. Apple and Google could decide it is in their best interests not to shield fraudsters from vendors. They could take actions up to and including banning people from their platforms. And while being banned from the VISA network is annoying, it has workarounds. Being banned from Apple and Google's ecosystems is, in the current day and age, a whole lot more problematic.

It isn't worth it. The odds of getting tagged are small. But the consequences of having a bad credit rating and being deplatformed are not worth it.

Not really. Not doing AQ, and not doing the side quest or event quest, or battlegrounds. not really doing anything but AW and the Alliance event, since i don’t want to leave my alliance high and dry before i dip out. Once this season is finished and my alliance gets their rewards cause their still active everyday, then I will dip out.

Get a refund on all your purchases that you can. Negative units mean nothing so at least get your money back from them.

Why would you tell someone to willingly commit fraud?

Imagine being upset enough by a random post on the internet to go complain to game team... wild.

I did have to type that, because that's the idea I wanted to express. You're not the only person reading the forums, and this is an extremely common idea that keeps coming up over and over again.

If it prevents one person from committing fraud, or alternatively prevents one person from being punished severely for something they thought was no big deal, its worth a hundred people thinking I type too much.

I take that comment in the same way an NBA player would take being accused of growing too tall.

Imagine being upset enough by a random post on the internet to go complain to game team... wild.
Imagine quitting because of RNG. :|
I'm sure you'd love it if I quit lmao. Unfortunately, you got the wrong person.
No, I got the right person. You just didn't understand. I don't care if you stay or quit and I'd never notice. I only remember you exist when you make a comment here.
Sheesh, hope you have a better day man. Seems like you're having a rough go of it. <3
