Hi All,

I've put some money away for the game and trying to decide what is likely to be the better investment between Cyber Weekend and the Banquet Event.

Gazing into your crystal balls, if you were to only spend on one, which would you prioritise?

    Good point - I'm effectively an end-game player (fully explored Act 8 and 9.1 and complete all SoS and Showcase content) but I'm a far cry from what I actually consider end-game. Sitting on 6 7R3 champions FWIW.

    Thing is, banquet normally isn't about spending money, but rather units to buy the crystals. So generally what people do is whale out on cyber weekend, then utilizing those units a month later on banquet crystals.

    The banquet ranked rewards for the small price of hundreds of thousands of dollars. If you aren't a mega whale, then banquet tends to feel meh at best unless you're a small account.

    For an endgame player, you can get a lot from banquet for free and the rest is pretty much RNG rewards balanced around an infinite quanity due to the possibility of one person buying thousands of them.

    Cyber weekend is guaranteed rewards that are balanced around them being in a limited quantity. The money deals are also a lot more lucrative in Cyber weekend than banquet, so spend your money on Cyber weekend and save some units for Banquet if you so desire or keep $100 at most laying around for Banquet.
    I agree. Even though I'm going to probably do 18k units on cyber weekend and 18k on banquet

    Something I think is worth bearing in mind is the level of community expectation for this banquet. Players have been hoarding units for months upon months for it. That means stashes are probably going to be larger on average than previous banquets, requiring a higher level of investment than before to get roughly equivalent rewards.

    For most players I expect the return on investment from banquet to drop off dramatically once they complete the solo milestones. I don’t know how many units that’ll be of course, but I wouldn’t expect spending units past that to be a good investment due to the level of competition we’re likely to see.

    Ultimately, wait and see what the cyber weekend deals are. We should have a decent gauge on their value for the units spent. If they’re bad, save for banquet because it probably means the reward budget was transferred over there. If they’re a good to pretty good deal, there will definitely be a significant argument for investing in that guaranteed value.

    Certainly for spending actual money Cyber Weekend is way more value

    For Valiant Banquet can be more miss than hit.

    But this year's Banquet have to be good, it have to reward Valaints more when opening those same crystals that uncollected and cavs will open.

    I don't think Kabam can afford 2 straight years dogwater Christmas sales numbers in a row.

    Banquet for me as F2P. Rewards are RNG dependent sure but I've always walked away from Banquet with a much better roster, even with last year's lackluster one so I'll keep trying my luck there especially with 15k units saved up this time around
