    Have you installed the update?

I'm on a Samsung Galaxy S21 and it's running reasonably well but it seems...fragmented.

I could swear that it's previously done this at times in the past (several years ago) but it was inconsistent and just always looked weird. I'm not sure that I'll stick with it as it feels quite wonky but I'll keep giving it a go for a bit.

60 fps works good on old basic iPad 6th Gen (2018)

(don't know how in the world this meets whatever requirements are laid out in game for being eligible for 60 fps)

But also, a certain Fight Scene that had previously been giving SOLID BLOCKS OF BRIGHT YELLOW all over the background, now displays correctly with new update and 60 turned on (haven’t paid attention testing if that background works with old 30 setting on in this month's update)
That Scene is the one that has big Crystals lying all over the ground.

Really smooth even on a fairly old budget device - motorola moto g9plus

    One plus 12R

I have different opinion than others. Its fast for me. Idk, parry timing is off and heck finding WS sp1 too fast as well. I'm going back to 30FPS. For some reason its fast than before for me.

This is not first time. My device supports 120Hz. So when I bought in Feb I tested Mcoc that time at 60 hz and it was fast like this. So I don't know whether it has been tuned to support one plus devices are not as it's behaving in same way as it used to like 9 months back.

I'm seeing YouTube videos. In that I'm finding graphics smooth and heck animation clean. In my case it's just 2x speed of earlier version. If anyone is on same boat let me know or was and now have solution, any advice would help.

    Thanks

Posted on main thread above, but will repost here:

For me, results are mixed to good:

Going to take some getting used to…dropped inputs at runout seem worse, dropped special inputs are way more costly as it seems the defender eats them up very quickly.

Overall, it’s great visually and very smooth. But there will be a need for some tweaking on the game team side to correct for anomalies, timing, odd things in between multi-hit strikes, etc. Looks great, but impact on game play and game mechanics there already glitched needs to be given attention.

Using iPhone 16 Pro Max, amazing picture and dynamics with 60 fps, but unfortunately on 30 fps the game became unplayable (

Using a Samsung Galaxy S22+, and it works perfectly. Wrecks my battery more though, but I suppose that's to be expected.

Galaxy a22 5g. Feels so good, messing up parries a bit more but no complaints. Thanks kabam!

    XS MAX

    pros:

    -game changer
    -very smooth
-all choppiness and frame skipping is fixed

    cons:

    -phone overheats much faster
    -battery drain is significant
-performance is conditional and depends on normal phone temps
-when overheating, game lag and choppiness becomes apparent and can be much worse than what we used to have

not sure what the solution is, maybe there isn't any for the older phones.

Update went live 05OCT24, in setting menu, you can switch game play to 30fps or 60fps, and menu screen to 30fps or 60fps.

I am using Samsung S23 Ultra 512GB.. so far no discernable lags.. due to additional frames of animations.. it sort of feels different but in a good way..

Now its more clear when you try to intercept the defender, he dash back out of range then immediately dash in to counter intercept, parry, re-parry and combo my champion until they have next to no health.. notice this more in AW.

I tried it on my other phone, Motorola One Fusion Plus (4 years old) and it works surprisingly well, especially given the fact that it had started to lag a lot recently. I didn't even know it could render 60Hz.

Major major W, it's like a brand new game now

    Samsung S21 Ultra Pro

Runs smoothly, even graphically more challenging champs (Sinister, Dust, Mr.Negative) run smoothly and flawlessly

S23 ultra runs amazing not even heating up

Looks smoother (but there is some kind of uncanny valley feeling to the movement) but have more significant battery drain.

I decided to keep the menu at 60 but toggled the fight back to 30 in hopes of minimizing battery drain. At 30, fights does seem less smooth, but still has that uncanny valley feeling.

Did Kabam do something in addition to the frame rate, like graphics or lighting? Because even at 30 fps it looks different compared to pre update.

if you're doing arena for a while and the phone is a little warm (and performance is generally ok) and you need to charge it, it heats up very fast and that's when the stuttering goes bananas.

^found a temporary solution. just switched to basic USB charging through the computer instead of apple's wall charger. much slower charging but the heating problem's mostly gone.

@BuggyDClown how's the phone in general

@Average_Desi in general, it's good device. Camera could have been better at that price point when initially released but with ongoing price seems good.
Solid battery performance and smooth experience
Gaming wise It plays Genshin at 45 Fps at medium settings smoothly and gets warm but no that hot

    9/10 imo

Thanks. I'm on the 8t currently. No major issues apart from the occasional software glitch. But the battery is pretty bad , so I'm thinking of upgrading. I'd have gone for the 12 if not for the curved screen

In-fight arenas received significant changes to quality of textures, lightning and graphics in general in past year.
    Maybe you are noticing that.

Unfortunately didn't last for me. First impression was great but gradually quality went down and now it's super laggy. Windows freeze and the tiles stop working - I have to restart the game to enter AQ of AW. Fight animations with lots of flashes freeze (so most of them).

Today I've switched back to the old 30 fps.

It's sad but I wasn't getting any positives apart from prettier design, and that alone is not worth keeping my phone burning my hands and my battery being eaten away.

    Android S22.
