Northstar is not impressive even in long fights

Look at Northstar 7 star R1 vs Kate R4a, even with class advantage he takes longer than Kate to finish. Mind you Northstar has 4.5/5 damage whereas Kate has 2.5/5 damage rating. Not mentioning Kate is better for small and medium fights as well.

If they had to make Northstar an Everest champ they should have made him even more op. He feels too slow, more than what his fight duration because of his weird animations taking an eternity to finish. Hope they buff him to match his damage rating.

    6* R4 unascended. No boosts. No synergies and passive soldier + got hit. He is not that bad.

    I"ll say this again.. posted my thoughts before.
    He has great damage but its very dependent on nodes and AI cooperation to keep his loop going.

    yall, comparing to kate is silly, she is by far one of the most overtuned champs in the history of the game. if you really wanna push things she can kill necro titania in sub 4 minutes, literally no other champ other than fully ramped aegon with full suis and black bolt synergy team cheese can even get close to her in terms of speed.

    The problem with that is they cant keep releasing a better champ every single month or else power creep will start hitting the game like a truck and no one wants that. northstar isnt terrible he just gets overshadowed by her for now.

    However, whenever the next necro/abyss style content comes about: 1. i dont think theyll have added 7* kate and if they have, theyll have introduced nodes to make her less viable, 2. speed is not the only important thing, and he has slow, and armour break(which yea should definitely have been applied to all but tech champs not just skill), and huge physical resist/block pen reduction in his sig which improves his survivabilty in these long fights

    Ramped Ægon is by far 100% better than him. You can't even ramp him through fights, using him feels like hitting a concrete wall with a pillow

    Hopefully the give him and patriot the spider punk treatment and they become top champions.

    I know spunk was good but he has now amazing, hopefully Patriot and Northstar could become good or better,

    Tbh a lot of champs for long form suck in abyss due to charges work of hitting block being hit and high combo hits

    Wong has so much sustainability than Northstar tho, Northstar can only work against skill champs, Wong can heal that alone makes him much better option than Northstar.
    It wasn't a northstar vs wong comparison. My point is that give northstar some time. Kabam will eventually put something out that northstar will absolutely dominate

    I tried testing him in Labyrinth and I swear he has to be bugged. 40 Prowess, 35 Reverb, Max Momentum and he's hitting like a noodle. Even on Sp2 the majority of the hits do 1-3k dmg and sometimes 10-15k.. even though my Northstar is R2, I've seen him do 5x this damage on every other video. I just duped him from my titan so I'm feeling miserable.. two Northstars from my last Titans.

    I tested him against Lab Star Lord and he finishes it in 4 mins with actual good dmg. I relaunched game after removing Storm relic and changing special dmg stat focus so maybe one of those things was causing the bugged dmg?

    You’re probably just getting screwed over by Red Hulk’s physical resistance he gets per heat charge. Keep in mind Northstar is particularly vulnerable to physical resistance because his reverb damage is effectively multiplied through it twice.
