And that compared to buying Kabam as a whole?

If someone gave me 5 billion pounds, let's just say that MCOC wouldn't be the first place I'd start spending those sterling.

In fact, I would probably be very careful with my spending in the game. Since I don't play any of the competitive game modes at a level where I need to have the latest champions at the earliest possible opportunity, I fear that being able to constantly buy every single offer all the time would eventually decrease my enjoyment of the game. While I have splurged in the past, I generally prefer the play-to-win progression to buying your way forward.

No way. Action figures are exceedingly cheap compared to Legos. For a small modest set that takes maybe an hour or two to build is 50 dollars. The higher priced ones that take 12+ hours cost over 300. And good luck finding retired sets. Those run in the thousands.

Still cheap. Look up the ravencrest lego. It's a star wars set from the Mandalorian show. 6k lego pieces. 700 dollars brand new.

They are toys though technically you can play with them forever over and over. Legos are a one and done thing.

Fair point Legos are better because they last much longer

Then again we're both kinda wrong. My other hobby is far more expensive lol. Coin collecting. one single gold coin from the 1930s can cost like 10k dollars 🤣.

If someone gave me $6.5 billion USD I wouldn't need to travel, I would just be bringing the restaurants, beaches, and mountains over to me.

You can't really buy shares in Kabam because Kabam is not an independent company anymore: they are wholly owned by Netmarble. However, $6.5 billion USD (which is about 5 billion British pounds) is more than the market capitalization of Netmarble: you could buy the entire company with that sort of money. I suppose you could also buy the studio from Netmarble for less.

Based on MCOC's share of Netmarble's revenue, I suppose you could also buy the IP, set up a studio and publishing company, hire everyone that works on it, and operate the entire game without having to actually worry about monetization much. $6.5 billion USD would probably fund the operations of the game for decades.

It is surprisingly difficult to actually spend that kind of money within the game itself. Most offers have either hard limits or practical limits on spending. For example, at the moment according to the game there are about 160 7* champions in the game. Not all of them are actually in the champion crystals, but let's presume they were. Let's say I start buying Valiant crystals to try to get all of them, and also max sig them. 2.5% drop 7* champs, and they cost 200 units per. If I got an even spread, starting from scratch it would take 1760 drops, or about 70,400 crystals costing 14,080,000 units. At 3100 units per $100 USD (the web store has better rates, but let's just use that for now) that comes out to be about $454,200 USD. That's a trivial amount of money compared to the numbers being kicked around here. And if you think you're going to get unlucky, just multiply that by ten. $4m USD gets you all the 7* champs at max sig (as well as all the 6s and 5s) pretty much guaranteed.

The limiting factor is rank up materials. Those cannot be bought in unlimited quantities. You can certainly buy a lot of them, but no amount of spending in-game can remove that bottleneck completely.

You could also try to break the game by buying something you aren't ordinarily supposed to buy in ridiculously huge quantities, but that is also surprisingly difficult. For example, what does $6.5 billion USD look like if you were to try to convert it to in-game gold? 40 units gets a UC gold crystal which has, on average, about 23,500 gold. So if we used the best unit conversion (the web store offers 7040 units for $200 USD before taxes) we get 134,420,000,000,000 gold. 134 trillion gold. Unfortunately the gold cap in the game is 9,007,199,254,740,991. 9000 trillion gold. Although you would have 228,800,000,000 units before you bought those gold crystals, so maybe that would break the unit counter: I don't know what the unit counter cap is. Also, its going to take about ten years to open them all, so you would have to hope the game is still running by then.

You would almost certainly break the inventory system if you tried to open 700,000 Valiant crystals. You'd flood ISO stash with over 15 million ISO bricks. The stash doesn't like that. The good news is you could probably open them all in just a few months. The bad news is you're not doing anything else in the game (or anywhere else really). And then the game will just stop working for you for another month. And perhaps not only you.

I'm sure I could get Crashed to create a VIP lifetime pass to just get every offer whenever it comes out, at the maximum quantity limit it is offered, for some gigantic price. Hmm, now that's an interesting question.

I never got into the recent novels but I loved some of them from when I was a kid! This one looks sick - I LOVE Elixir too. He'd be such a cool character for the game, especially with his healing/death touch dichotomy and visually that could be super cool.
