I’m not saying those players don’t deserve to be thanked, but giving away a mythic-esque title? For no effort at all? To the people who have actually earned their mythic title, or to the long time dedicated players like myself who have almost 10 years in the game- this just feels like a giant middle finger. What's a "mythic-esque" title? The mythic title tells me the player satisfied the accomplishments required for Mythic status. The Veteran title tells me you started playing in the first week of the game. In what way is it a Mythic-esque title?
You didn't get the Veteran title because you weren't here since the game's launch. You were a few months late, but that still counts as being late. Deal with it

I started playing in early 2015, a short time after 2014 (I’m pretty sure) - I feel like people in a certain time frame, should get rounded down to 2014. I’m a long time player too, at least 9 almost 10 years total- but I get a blue title instead. Because I’m probably just under the 10 years. Not that I’m complaining, just a suggestion if it’s possible. On another note, I think it’s AWESOME that you’re allowing people long term access to the “Legend” title. That’s pretty friggin sweet.
This is probably the best meme kabam has ever done, legit nothing will ever top it, not only is it confusing people on its requirement, but its also confusing people on who is getting it, how you get it, and who it is it should be awarded to, and how it just memes on the whole idea of special titles.
To start with the most important detail possible, First in the Cosmos (FiC) is not the yearly log in title, that is One with eternity (OwE), this year it is the only chance to get both, after that once you reach 10 years on your account you get (OwE), there is an important thing to learn here is that account age does not equal how much you have been playing on mcoc, thus we come into our conundrum that is the supposed purpose of this title (other than the memes it is creating), where in this title rewards not the 10 year play time from start till now which is what it is supposed to do (but it can't since its impossible), it is given to the accounts created in "2014", so that gives way to the funny reality that, if you have made an mcoc account in "2014" and logged in now? you get (FiC) and (OwE) this year, which again is brilliant since you come into the funny scene of those who actually played, grinded, and supported this game from start till now, being given the same measure as those who just made an account on mcoc in "2014" uninstalled the game and poofed the 10 years until they decided to install it now, the difference here is hilarious, they should never change it, it is just too funny, such a kabam move to make, even double so that (FiC) acts in a way that is both legend, and mythic titles combined, so double the memes, specially now if they decide to do another mythic on sale for banquet rank 1# rewards, truly trolling on anyone who is going to spend massive amounts of money to get it, trolling those who got it, and trolling the last year banquet 1# spender.

shucks man, impressed you actually continued to play, and yes the eternity one is doable although you gonna have to wait for next year, (just eternity no FiC) but again mcoc just can not calculate how much did a player spent time on the game, just the account age, the only way to tell really is to look at two things, obvious rating, and if someone got all the log in anniversary titles, so if you were just a bit off on timing, you won't be eligible, again good concept, but terrible execution. I do wonder how many people actually did go daily, day in and day out in mcoc for 10 years, oh welp I guess even those who stuck it around can't escape from kabammed, what a joke.

This is exactly what I was referring to, I’m more so just a little annoyed- that those “veteran” players- are mostly ones who haven’t touched the game in years, yet they get a free mythic-esque title and custom banner with no effort needed. Just seems a bit much to me really.

Depends on whether MCOC had a type of PRE-RELEASE ADVANCE SIGNUP or not. And if so, then all of them might be considered “tied” for starting on day-1.
In previous years I’ve asked (never got a definitive answer) as to whether the oldest Title (which is now the 10-Year Title) was for having started game *sometime* in DEC 2014, or whether it had to be actual 1st Day (or including Pre-Release Signup).
Anyways, because wording seems to be different between the normal Anniversary Year Title, and the special BANNER ?? or if there is other wording saying “2014” that would be slightly different too (aka, anytime in that first December) ?
But for everyone saying they started within XX months of December (as in, early 2015), and shouldn’t that be close enough. Well, it has NOT been close enough in all the prior issuing of the anniversary Titles every year.
If you got 8-Year last year, then you do not get 10-Year this year (just 9). Just because it is a special anniversary, they are not gonna adjust their normal requirements for it.

I'm a bit bummed myself, as I'm one of those Feb 2015 players. But I at least have authentic 'veteran' status and all the ID.me perks it's given me on other purchases

The game released on Dec 10th 2014.. You started playing 1.5 months AFTER the game started.... this is like saying you should be Valiant when you're Paragon but missing 2 rank 3 7*'s.
Started playing 12/15/14, and haven’t missed a day minus a few days when down with a flu. Title is a nice touch and happy they chose this route for 10-yr players. Only part that sucks is reading comments about it being unfair. Truly an era of everyone deserves a medal haha.
