Everyone max boosted
7r2 Serpent, 6* relic
r4 Odin, 5* relic
6r4 unascended max sig AbsMan
r5a Herc, 6* relic
7r3 sig 40 Hulk, 6* relic
Titania – Serpent 1 revive. I had never played Serpent because I normally have suicides on. It took me an hour learning him, but I decided the unduped was better than the duped 6* as he doesn’t lose his persistent charges when he dies. Also, the 7* has the longer vengeance timer, and since I had never used him before, I decided to take the one that gave me more time. Keep Titania against the wall. Titania on my run was very cooperative and didn’t randomly throw her heavy. Just be careful with dashing back as she placed weaknesses on you. Try to stay at about 10 furies, and spam 1. One thing I learned was that after finishing a combo, wait about half a second. She will block, and then throw the special to gain extra benefits as he breaks her block. I couldn’t dex her while rooted so then the weaknesses started to pile up, but they didn’t seem to bad.
Vision – AbsMan 3 revives – I also never used AbsMan before and took him up just for this, but didn’t have any ascenmsion dust. People say he cheeses him, but I couldn’t find anyone explaining why, and I didn’t want to watch a video. But it was fairly easy. When he trows his specials, I would just block them. It reduces Vision’s power gain, and you gain the power instead. I used the prefight and stayed in magma form. Vision was mostly cooperative in throwing his specials before sp3. If you can heavy chain your specials [easy after Visions sp1 for me, or heavy chain with a relic], he does more damage.
Omega Sentinel: Herc, 2 revives with Serpent. Herc took off 20% before he died, which I was pleased with. However, I don’t think I’d take him again. Serpent did better for me. Bait out those sp1 as they are easier to dex. Watch the armors, but I found even when I did get stunned, I could recover fast enough that OS didn’t hit me and only hit my block. Serpent’s unblockable on specials is great.
Airwalker: AbsMan 1 revive [however, I did restart MANY times so blew threw lots of potions]. This was the fight that I was worried about. I restarted maybe 5 times. I also threw on a mystic damage boost. If you don’t take a big chunk off on the first run, then he gains even more power. I finally got him to 37% and thought that that was good enough. I stayed in Magma form except for two times as the timer was getting close to expiring and I didn’t want him to get a galactus buff. He also regened one time on my run, which was frustrating. BLOCK his specials as this doesn’t place a dark tide on you [wish I had known that during my Mutant run]. You’ll be in refined form most of the time because you are immune to armor breaks, so whenever he places one, you get extra charges. I was surprised how well he did. AbsMan also heals a lot so you don’t even have to worry much about block damage.
Capt Brit: Serpent 5 revives [once was because she goes unstoppable and I didn’t know that part of her kit, and still don’t know it]. Wasn’t hard. It’s just that I kept forgetting about reverse controls. If you can get her to sp2, that’s much easier for most to dex I think. Also put Odin’s prefights on.
Wiccan: Hulk 2 revives. My plan was just to nuke Wiccan with hulk and not heal. Just use 20% revives. But Hulk did amazingly well. If I had put on a science damage boost, it would have been just one revive [health went to 70% first run, then 3 % second run]. I didn’t mind parrying as I was just going to sp2, then stun lock rotation. I wasn’t gong to dex so the incinerate wouldn’t trigger. It did trigger on my first run, but it did negligible damage.
Psycho Man – Serpent 1 revive. Psycho Man’s abilities didn’t seem to affect Serpent, so it was mostly the same strategy – throw a special into his block when he’s against the wall. Serpent always was unbloackable, even though I thought Psycho-Man’s nodes and abilities would have prevented it at times.
This was my favorite Carina’s thus far as it forced me to learn two new champs – AbsMan and Serpent. I could never get the hang of Odin’s rotation so I left him at r4 and just used his prefights. I also never used Serpent's sp3 rotation as it didn't seem to change he damage much for me for whatever reason [again, I am not a serpent pro].
Thanks @captain_rogers for your write up as it guided me on my journey. https://forums.playcontestofchampions.com/en/discussion/comment/2693281#Comment_2693281
