  I travel all the time all around the world, some time I am even using vpn with different geographic locations. Never in 10 years any ban happened to me. I don't think their algorithm is that dumb that it will just look location. I pretty sure it look for device id , your play style and how easily you are clearing content etc. otherwise there would be so many wrong bans.

  In the communication with support, what reasoning did they give for the ban? Did they say it was for an Necro run one year ago? Nevermind, I know they didn't say that. What did they say it was for? Not what do you think it's for.

  The friend clearly isn't being honest with the OP. Why hasn't the actual friend come in to defend himself? Likely because he knows what he did and would rather see the OP continue to look foolish. Doesn't sound like a friend to me!!
