Battlegrounds is a joke. Bugs/AI make it almost unplayable.

I have now lost upwards of 150 points just today alone, because the AI either doesn’t throw specials enough so I lose the nuke battle, sideswipes me so I lose due to a little bit of health difference, or I just straight up lose to one of the following bugs.
(Honorable mention: Count Nefaria and his infinite SP3S! So fun!)
1. My game just straight up crashes mid match, giving me a guaranteed loss. “unknown error”
2. My game won’t allow me to actually ban anyone, and then picks my bans automatically. Causing me to lose.
3. Kind of similar to the second one, my first draft is picked automatically for me- because the match has actually been going on in the background; while I’m stuck at the ban screen.
Kabam, I’m trying really really hard to still enjoy BG’s- but you’re making it infinitely more difficult to do so.
Genuinely, one of my least favorite BG’s seasons to date.

Straight up it happened to me the defenders keep holding block

for some reason, something that has now been happening to me somewhat often is my specials get randomly blocked, I’ll end a combo and quickly throw my special so they can’t block it.

but I guess Spider-Man is sharing reflexes, sometimes I can’t land my special because they block instantly.

or they’ll special intercept me, vt meta is to intercept because it’s dash vulnerable, but I don’t like doing it when they have a bar of special, they always throw it when I dash in to intercept. Can I light intercept ? Yeah, but then they could dash in if I whiff the attack.

It's your phone if you're facing these random crash and skipping pick phases because it's loading things slow.

No, it’s my opponent and I being on different servers. My phone is fine, my WiFi is fantastic.
Stop trying to make excuses, to dismiss my points.
If none of that has happened to you, you either don’t want to admit it, don’t play enough BG’s, or forget that it happened.
This GC meta is already horrible, because it’s very little skill- and it’s pretty much all draft RNG. Add those bugs and AI issues on top of all though? The mode becomes barely playable.

I literally had a few fights in Battlegrounds where the AI simply stood in front of me for at least 45 seconds until the fight timed out. Completely relying on the unstoppable upgrade it got. I makes in so NOT Fun to play.

It does appear that the A.I. has reverted back to its old crappy self after the update. Not throwing specials forever, parrying my relic striker, parrying my intercepts. Frustrating way to end this battlegrounds season.

You’re not on different servers, because you aren’t on any servers. In MCOC, all combat takes place on your phone. It’s actually possible to start a fight in any game mode, walk into an elevator, watch your phone completely lose all connectivity, and still watch the fight continue. The fight only breaks when the game client times out status telemetry to the game servers and the client decides to terminate the fight due to synchronization loss.

In BG, you can see this most clearly when BG sync breaks and the client drops, and when you jump back in the fight starts from the beginning with less time on the clock. According to the servers, you entered the fight but didn’t do anything, because your game client had no ability to keep the game servers informed about the fight. So the servers presume you had just been in the loading screen all that time.
I got an ipad pro m4 with good connectivity do the same. So i hardly believe it’s a client problem.

I find it funny when people say "good connectivity" as if they are monitoring the packets being sent...
Just cause your router lights that are supposed to be solid are solid and the ones that are supposed to be flashing are flashing, does not mean that you connection is working at 100% ...

Connectivity may have nothing to do with it, because as I said, fights don't run on the servers. It could be a bug in the game client itself that only surfaces on some platforms in certain situations, which makes it appear to be a device hardware issue. But connectivity only matters during fights if you lose it completely, and the servers only matter never.

You can believe what you want: I'm simply telling you what's possible and what's not possible. The problem cannot be caused by you and your opponent "being on different servers" when your fight is not taking place on any servers.

I’m having major freezing and game crashing issues in battle grounds after update as well. So frustrating

So, this is a device issue??? When I have an IPhone 14 Pro Max??
If so, this just makes me even more annoyed I’m having these issues.

It could be, I bought a very nice car once, due to the experience decided to buy a 2nd one for a family member, it turned out to be the worst nightmare ever. Sometimes something fails.. that iPhone could be faulty, some app could be conflicting... many things could happen. In your defense, this year has not been a good one for iOS users compare to other years.

What doesn’t add up for me, is that I’ve never had issues like this before.
I’m thinking it has something to do with how IoS handles the particular updates or something like that.
Regardless, I’m not able to just switch devices anytime soon- I’m too far along paying this one off for that.
Guess I just better get used to it then.

My s22 ultra works better than my s24 ... So not sure what to tell you.
May not be the best solution out there; but a factory reset could be something worth trying....
