Which Tech Champ would you awaken?

I wrapped up my Carina’s challenges tonight so am going to pull the trigger on a few AGs that I have.

First one I’m looking to decide on is Tech. Here is my tech roster:



My top two choices are Punisher 2099 as his awakened ability takes him to a whole new level and he doesn’t need high sig. Yes, he is in the basic pool but with so many champs there the odds are too low for it to be practical. The other leading option for me is Sentinel. If I use the gem on him I’ll use my Guardians AG on Medusa.

I feel like P2099 is the better call from a BGs standpoint, but perhaps Sentinel is the better questing option. Both are a dual threat, but P2099 isn’t a great defender in BGs and Sentinel probably isn’t that great on offense. I don’t feel like Warlock needs it, so probably the only other solid option might be Arcade. Ultron - while rare - I feel like needs really high sig and I just don’t know that I’m going to use him enough to justify that investment. Possibly Ironheart?

    Thanks! Guess this one is pretty clear. And since I can’t awaken him naturally I guess it does make sense to prioritize a gem for him. Then I can use the Guardians one for Medusa.

    He puts in so much work on defense, and when you need him on attack he can get the job done. Plus not being able to awaken him naturally makes the gem use very safe. Also the extra debuff duration from his sig makes him better on attack, you really notice the extra damage from your Sp2 incinerates and heavy shock.

    I took punisher99 duped to r2 specifically for BG, and I never used him. He doesn't even make my deck.

    Agree 100%. His sig ability is arguably as important as anyone's at the moment. He's a monster on D, but the more I use him as an attacker the more I'm impressed. He's cleared entire paths in Acts 8 & 9.1 for me. Not the fastest at what he does because of the ramp up time, especially against non-mutants, but very reliable with a nice second life.

    I have been debating this nearly exact decision since pulling a tech AG from the banquet. My choices were using the AG on Arcade or Sentinel, or keep waiting to hopefully pull Prowler. Decided to wait until completing the AoA Gauntlet to see what might happen with my next Titan pull. Got lucky with my Titan pull…



    So it made my choice a bit easier. Got tired of waiting to pull Prowler…



    Here’s to hoping I’ll still pull Prowler someday…
