Champions banned in AW

I just noticed that I couldn’t use Hercules in AW. Looked like they banned several champions as attackers. Am I missing something or is this just setup for this particular AW round.

    What tier are you in? Bans have been a thing in AW for a long time. In lower tiers they are random (though I don't believe they happen in really low tiers), but they are deliberate as you move up. Herc sounds like a random ban. He really isn't that scary of an attacker in AW because he doesn't counter many of the hard defenders today, plus the hidden assassins mastery is his undoing. Nobody playing decent level AW is concerned with banning Herc, they're banning other champs.

    Are you in HARD Tier Map wars ?

    Below is existing thread about how Bans (which should only be for Tier Map above Hard), have propagated down to lower Tier Map because of (?) a bug.

    You're playing a tier 5 alliance and using their map. Tier 5 and up has attacker bans.

    While that's a possibility, that they are doing a “Cross-Border” war, playing on opponent's higher level Tier Map. Where they normally never play on.

    I’d bet it is the bug though, that even those playing at Tier 9 or 10 Map, down in Hard, and at least some cases of it also affecting a war down into INTERMEDIATE as well (see other thread).

    Chavez is banned on my side but the other team has Chavez as an attacker

    Because you're in a low tier where the bans are random. Not sure if Kabam has responded to any posts on the topic or not. Bans used to only happen in higher tier wars, but the last couple seasons they've been happening everywhere. The problem for lower tiers is that they are random.
