Is Black Widow (Deadly Origin) meant to be able to counter attack after her evade?

Is it meant to function like Elsa Bloodstones/Count Nefaria’s counter attack, where you can go in for a combo after evading?

I find that with BWDO, the opponent always recovers quick enough to block my attack when I rush in after an evade.

I'm interested in the answer to this too. I noticed the same, BWDO seems to create the opening like Elsa, but then most of the time I rush in my attack just gets blocked. Can anyone from Kabam support us?

Hers is just an evade. You can't counter attack. In fact I use it occasionally to get a little bit of willpower healing while fighting her

Mordo can do this aswell, he can hit you with a light attack right after his evade. Which is a bit absurd 😁

Although Player Mordo can do this too, which is useful.

That's true, but what is unclear if this is her intended way of working. Which seems weird, personally: i mean, the whole BWDO playstile seems to be structured on intercepting, punishing, creating openings. So having a mechanism which seems to create an opener, but then doesn't, it's a bit confusing.

What is worse is that you get access to that evade mechanic through a sp1, so it also feels like the reward for the sp1 it's not worth it (on top of the already really short duration of sabotage, that i think could use some rework, but that's another story).

Try using heavy attack after you evade

Try using heavy attack after you evade

Mmm doesn't seem to work unfortunately :/ when she evades she jumps back creating some space between her and the opponent, so going for a heavy won't connect

It does connect for me, the second hit of the heavy attack
Although that cannot count as a combo

The enemy must be cornered which is usually the case when I'm attacking to finish the fight asap
