Good to see the 5-minute cancellation wasn't left open to interpretation.
As Kabam has stated recently, the negative feedback on the forum usually has no correlation to reality. The fact that there was so much web traffic yesterday to buy the Sigil shows that it was probably a huge success.
It's unfortunate that so many forumers are unhappy with the Sigil, I'm not thrilled about it either, I think it's more of a mixed bag. But then again, what else is new? Seems like the forum is mostly a place for disgruntled players to trash and complain whatever Kabam comes up with next. Some of the criticism is constructive, but overall the atmosphere is consistently negative. Makes one wonder why they keep playing the game and discussing it online. Addicted perhaps?
So where do you want feedback to come from?
Surveys? They already do that and those can take alot of time and volume already. If we all put in survey how we feel it would be the same
YouTubers? They voiced there concerns and those in community just like banquet event
Content creators? They give them feedback already, and look at champs like the leader who didn’t even get a buffed lol
People also voice there concerns in line chats but none of the people who work for kabam are there
and discord ? I’m pretty its the the same as forums people would still voice there concerns
It’s been years since Sigil was actually updated and now it’s here and they changed alot of good stuff to bad.
Like trading in gold for boost is not a thing now.
Cant even trade excess 5* shards for 6* shards, 1 step forward but also alittle step backwards aswel.
We ar going in baby steps.
DONT even get me started on a lot of events and rewards and outdated content in the game. Literally baby steps until we get new progress tier after valient lol.
Yes, I agree with a lot of this stuff. But given that the forum is a negligible part of the player pool, and Kabam only engages and listens for sentimental rather than business reasons, I just think we should try to frame criticisms more even-handedly (not saying this applies to you specifically, just in general it seems most of the comments are 100% negative).
For example, instead of just saying everything sucks, we can say: (1) here are the things I don't like about it and (2) here are the things I do like about it. This will make the feedback more credible and less subject to outright dismissal as disgruntled trolling.
Because, at the end of the day, if someone truly felt "cheated" and "robbed" and "scammed" by Kabam, felt that nothing in the game was worth spending time or money on, and generally hated everything, why continue playing and going online to talk about it? It makes no sense....
I don’t think anyone feels cheated or robbed by the new sigil. They’re just saying after years of it being stagnant and outdated, this isn’t anywhere near of an upgrade to make it feel special. The sigil is far better value than a Star Lords briefcase. But the perks of the actual sigil are not really big enough perks to make it feel must have anymore (for me, for many it is). There are parts of that feel worse than before, would it really break the economy to have the revives, health potions, boosts, linked to a trade in or gold as they were before? My feedback would be at a minimum shift the old method for those items.

I feel completely cheated about the 7* Sigil witch credits being worth the same as regular credits right now.
I think the new sigil store can be very helpful for brand new players. It is definitely not worth it for Valiant players imo. Some of the prices are WAY too steep. 700 sigil credits for 1 titan crystal is too much. If you must charge 700 sigil credits for it, at least make it a nexus titan. The t3 to t4 alpha exchange rate is also ridiculous.
I'm also not happy about the conversion of greater sigil credits. I'm hoping the removal of the 6* feature is just a mistake and they add it back in. Overall, I can see it having some value for brand new players but that's about it.

Right. This forum is (at least theoretically) the *official* forum.
Which apparently isn’t representative of the player base, if what I read is correct. It’s just a batch of long-time player-customers who happen to be particularly passionate about the game—nothing special really.
Dr. Zola
Dr. Zola, those aren't my views, it's just what Kabam has said the data shows. Is the forum "special"? It has to be "special" in Kabam's eyes, for them to engage so much with it despite it being negligible in the overall financial scheme.
And I don’t think you were saying that—that sentiment (or something close) was apparently expressed by the team recently.
Express arena via Sigil may be sufficient for a significant number of players. As someone who rarely grinds arena anymore, that feature doesn’t shift the calculus for me. Perhaps that comprises a large number of satisfied players?
Perhaps it’s like so many subscription products—with a high level of churn—that the team really doesn’t care if players keep it long-term as long as new buyers emerge?
Perhaps it’s just the icing on the cake of revenue flows the game already generates reliably?
I have zero inside information. My data point is a very simple one: it used to be attractive, it gradually became outdated, I was interested to see the changes, and now I don’t care about it beyond the month I paid for (to be able to swap T3a for T4a).
I’m reasonably happy with the benefits that we get, but the stores are absolutely trash, especially for valiant players. Not sure whether I’ll keep subscribing.
By the way, I’m not noticing the 10% increase in gold and glory. Probably just me 🤨

Its kinda funny, we are here criticizing a feature in game in a mobile game forum, while this guy is criticizing the people... And someohow the people criticizing the feature are in the wrong...
I am gonna add something else due to my discontent. I think its pretty scummy they "forced" me to buy this new sigil for me to be able to spend sigil credits I earned and paid for in the past. The least they could have done is let you spend the Sigil credits you earned.

I think this misunderstands Kabam's position on the forums. The idea that the forums have no value because they do not accurately represent the playerbase presumes the only value the forums offer is to be a poll.
Kabam has official forums primarily to allow the players to communicate with each other. That's why they exist. But the reason why *they* engage with the forums is because the discussion here is valuable, or can be. It can demonstrate range of sentiment even if it does not capture the full distribution of that sentiment. Complaints here are probably echoed elsewhere, we just can't know if they are the majority opinion or not. But they exist, and it is worth noting what they are. The discussion between players can be valuable to monitor, because sometimes a lot of good ideas are in those discussions. Kabam has adopted a lot of ideas first presented in forum posts of players. And engaging with your most engaged players has benefits that go beyond farming them for game design ideas. Every player they engage with here engages with other players elsewhere.
And the devs are people just like us. Some of them just want to engage with the players. Nowhere in Crashed's job description (unless he rewrote it again) says he is supposed to read and respond to forum posts. He does so voluntarily of his own accord. He's not doing it because he's paid to do it, nor does he do it because he thinks it will generate revenue for Kabam Netmarble. He does it because, to the extent someone in his position can, he wants to engage with the players.
Saying the forums are "nothing special" is I think being deliberately facetious. There's a huge gap between the forums accurately representing the playerbase (they don't, and no game forum does) and the forums are worthless. The problem is most players don't know what worth the forums actually have. They think the only way the forums have value is if they can be turned into an angry mob that can burn down the castle walls and put the developer's heads on spikes. If we aren't an unstoppable force, then we're worthless, so that's the kind of activity we should be pursuing. Ironically, that's the one time the forums are, in fact, basically worthless.
i'm buying it just for arena express but the update is disappointing. the chase items (7*, nexus, titan) are ok but other items in the shop like boosts use the same currency and i'll never touch those so i'm basically ignoring a big chunk of the store which is bad design imo.
the trade in section is a nice though for the t4a, 7* crystal, and sig stones so that's a plus.
The midgil needs a buff and re look at from kabam something needs to be done to improve it
They really need to do something
Overal it’s been disappointing & not as good.
Who knows when it will update again…
Months or even years again.
But they haven’t addressed anything.
Maybe..tomorows stream?
But something should be done. To many good things about it was taken away that didn’t need to be taken and it should be reevaluated.
A gold trade in would be awesome. (I have way to much gold)
DNA said some changes are being considered. They don't need to inform about everything within 2 or 3 days. They took 2 weeks to relaunch, I wouldn't expect a fix within 3 days
I bought it for the bonus units..then i realized platnium pass has more units/boosts/isos/revives. so i cancelled the subscription. I honestly feel it's not worth the monthly subscription.
...And I’m entirely disappointed with the conversion of Greater Credits 1:1. They weren’t greater at all.
I’m hoping this was a first draft and there are some edits coming shortly down the road. Otherwise, this will be the first and last new Sigil buy for me.
Dr. Zola
Yeah greater credits being valued the same was idiotic. The sigil in its current state is not worth it. I really only got it to dupe my sigil witch and offload the excess t3a from the trying-to-save-face 10 unit deal after bankquit. I already cancelled the subscription and unless it becomes worthy of buying, I'll steer clear.
I bought it for the *sole* ability to swap 20 of my T3A for a T4A, and will be cancelling my subscription until the time that they stick one of my all time favorite characters locked behind the Sigil.
They added some valiant tier trade ins which honestly should have been added half a year ago. Simplified the weekly event into a claim box which is a welcome change.
However they removed the ability to trade in potions and buying boosts with gold, instead making them sigil token items. Hard to say if overall its even a net positive change.
Not sure why this other thread had to be started up, or that it is continuing, instead of sticking to the main Sigil Announcement thread which is going on 10 pages.
But in case people are only looking at these other threads instead…

Not buying it.

Waiting to see the backlash on this,
It’s been overwhelming negative from what I seen from alot people, here.youtube, line chats etc
This is barely an upgrade but a commitment to getting 7*crysyal/7* titan crystals at this point.
Sure some these items are nice upgrades but they are trying to squeeze just enough where you will buy it.
Sure can they upgrade after initial feedback..but look how long it took them just to finally update it.
Probably because noones was really buying it.
Who knows when next “big” Sigil update will be.
But right now it just doesn’t feel like big enough improvement imo.
I’m sure a lot people bought it to trade in t3
Alpha and just to cash in 7* Titan
And this prob next best $10 deal in the game
But that’s why I suggested maybe loyalty for having Sigil 4,6,8,12 months atleast.
12 months for a titan? Sure.. it’s still gona cost me 12 months of the game I already planned on playing and $120ish.
It just sucks because I have to use Sigil tokens to get potions..
I just think we need better way like potion and revive converter and way to use all my excess gold for something….for us for Sigil users
Savings theee units and the time I can save alittle time to arena; see yall in banquet 2925!!

It’s nice but extremely underwhelming
I continue to buy Sigil regardless because I $pend and I think unit i get offset it.
But man.. I am not looking forward to opening Titan Crystal I could get a dud for 12 months of waiting.
Lagacy also summed it up nicely, video below
