MCOC Controller

Does anyone know or use a controller with your iphone when playing mcoc, like the razer kishi or something? The combination of the GC intensity and the mixmaster node is just killing me with the touchscreen controls.

I don't think Kabam would allow that

Why do you say that? I've seen people play other ios games like Call of Duty on controllers.

I think I remember them saying it was against their TOS at some point, I'm not 100 percent sure tho.

Oh, gotcha. I wasn't talking about jailbreaking or anything, just whether it was compatible in a legitimate way, like other mainstream ios games that can be played on standard controllers.

A forums post by Kabam Miike from like 5 years ago says you can use an officially supported Bluetooth controller, but it might not be a good experience. You won't get banned though. Don't use an emulator, you will be banned. I hope this helps.

For android devices, you can link your phone or bigger screen tablet with a bluetooth controller

Ok, thanks. Which controller did you test out?
I have no interest or even the know-how to use illegal emulators or what not.
Was just curious if it was compatible with any kind of controller for ios without violating their terms of service.

Controllers are supported. They aren't against the rules but you can't map anything.

Cool, good to know, thank you. Is there any specific recommendation for one you or anyone else has tried and liked?

That was before they started developing for PC and they have the Beta support controllers which they have stated are now compatible and not against any TOS.

But they suck right now because it's not fully baked at all. Don't care who you are, you will not like playing with a Controller right now.

Ah, makes sense, thanks for the info.
I'd still love to get a recommendation for a specific controller that is compatible. I 100% believe I will not like it, but I'm just curious to try it.

Depends on if you want a controller that is physically connected to the device or wireless.

8bitdo Ultimate controllers are some of the best Wireless ones.

Backbone controllers are the best attached ones.

****Edit: in my previous post, I meant to say controllers are not supported.

None of them work as far as I know. I tried a Razer backbone controller and it never worked. Since you either have to make it compatible with your phone or tablet, options are limited.

MCOC doesn't support controllers at all so you'll likely not have any luck unless they release it on Steam soon. That will be the only version that will support controllers.

Hmm, thanks. A little confused because some people are saying controllers are not supported at all, and others are saying they are operable but the gameplay sucks.

Eventually, once PC is fully released I would guess, controllers would work and be supported on all devices.

Whether that would be a "better" way to play will be preference as well as what it will "feel" like. But it won't just be PC only as they will cross play in BGs and such and wouldn't want someone to have excuse of someone being able to use a controller as a escuse they lost.

But people will still use that excuse regardless. LOL

Yes, they already said they will be compatible on PC but not sure if they'll ever work for mobile.

The Client build on PC MCOC is different in build to the client build on mobile MCOC in many different ways. I highly doubt that they will put in all the controller support on mobile mcoc. On the bright side, mcoc is a pretty lightweight game to run on PC hardware, so you don't even need a great windows laptop/PC to run mcoc well if you want to use a controller.

Pikolu, I guess if anyone would know you would, is there currently a legitimate controller (wireless or attachable) that can be used to play mcoc on the iphone? No worries if you truly don't know/have never tried it yourself.

I'm using ps4 controller, it had movement but it's awkward, i can't slide and i can't parry, also can't map anything. but i hope in future they add controller for mcoc

To obsessively fixate yourself on the amount of disagrees and designate it inherent value which it doesn't have is just as bad. Ignore it, it literally doesn't affect anything, doesn't boost a post up or down. At this point ill code a Chrome extension so it can be visually turned off and people stop fixating on it

He is obsessed with disagrees to the point of when losing an argument he checks the profile of the person calling him out....

Yeah, definitely I don't care about the disagrees, especially because a lot of times I'm actually wrong.
This was about a stalker I noticed tracking my every move on the forum and immediately downvoting my every post, even if it just said "thanks for the info" or something. Anyway, I asked chatgtp about it and it answered my question. So I'm moving on, lol...
