Is Accidental Unit Spending Fixable?

ORHypeBuffedORHypeBuffed Member Posts: 31
I ask the question because...players have been criticizing it for years. There's no safety-handle on it.
Luckily, I've only fallen prey to it a few times.

I happened to load different screens after opening Paragon Crystals, then game loaded where I was clicking - resulting in 1000 units spent.

If people say I'm lying...why would I spend 1000 units on Paragon Crystals and not Valiant Crystals? For the lols?

Anyways, I decided to open the crystals tell this story so that you can laugh at my EXPENSE because I don't expect Kabam to do a single thing about it. 🙃

Or else I would've filed a Ticket and been happy to have this resolved.

They don’t care and keep making more trap, pop up offers show up once you log in . Lose 9000 units for a 7* mantis ? Oh well, you’ll have to write to support and hope for a quick reply.

Hmmm, so you know exactly what I'm talking about then?

As a general rule of thumb, Kabam will refund and reverse any transaction by units or cash purchase if a) the purchase does not involve difficult to reverse unlockables (for example, if buying the bundle unlocks another bundle) and b) if none of the random elements of the purchase have been opened (because you cannot "undo" knowledge of the results of an RNG crystal).

If you didn't open the Paragon crystals, support would have most likely reversed the transaction upon request by support ticket. This has generally been true for players making this request over the past several years now.
Last time I went to support, they were like "You're probably right, but we don't see anything.".
It was about Objective Points for WoW Event.

if you’re haven’t opened them there would be no had done it but because you did it no longer a accident. Because you did opened them

Exactly, I'm thinking about leaving the game. I went from super irritated to relieved - almost like freedom...
But I guess 1000 units is only like $30 worth of units and can be easily obtained. 😌

If you hadn’t opened them they would have absolutely fixed it. Done this myself before.

That wasn't an accidental purchase, and I have no idea what specific issue you could have brought to support that would cause them to say "but we don't see anything" especially since you seem unfazed (if annoyed) by that apparently non-sequitur response.

Had a bad couple of days not that long ago when a purchase button inexplicably appeared somewhere stupid...and an idiot clicked it, twice.

Support were very, very quick to reimburse me.

If you didn't open the crystals kabam would have given your units back. I bought bishop for 9500 units by accident. I got all my units back the next day.

As per my Experience with kabam, they have always reversed accidental purchases if you haven't used items or opened the crystals. Most importantly you send support a ticket with the accidental purchases made including the time and date.

Okay, but many people are my ignoring my sentiment.
They KNOW it's been an issue and never fixed it/attempted to prevent it.

How do we know? They added the safey-net-option for Champion Max Level Upgrade - where it literally says: "Go Back"; "Confirm" 😶

I think it was about using Herc (forgot which year) for a Year-based objective - but the Objective was bugged and compensation released at some point.
But I never received the 1 point that prevented Top Milestone Rewards.
