As has been said, Season 27 was too soon to implement the changes Dork mentioned. I made sure to include a link to Dork's post at the beginning of the forum version of the Season 27 announcement so that folks know we're not ignoring it, it is a top issue, but that the full information was not yet ready to share. As Dork said, Crashed will have a more thorough and detailed walkthrough of what's to come in the future. We want BG to continue and thrive just as much as y'all, more on this to come.
To be honest, many players played the BG for an year can work out a reasonable reward improvements in 3 hours It’s not a work for 2 months

I am not trying to sound sarcastic, telling us season 27 was too soon on an issue that has been happening for at least 12 months is probably not the best take on this. It only shows that there was no consideration on updating rewards until recently
Too soon in the sense that it was just after Dork's update on the subject and before we are ready to share more details, not that it is something that has only just been thought about. I acknowledge my wording on that could have been clearer though.
I guess that's somewhat a relief, at least now we know they're working on it, even though we know we probably won't see any changes til August I guess this is better than nothing.
What is the issue with a store update schedule? Every 12 months update a store. Example every April, BG is updated. Every August, AW & AQ, January another store. That way, every store gets attention and it's not overloading kabam and we get a store updated every few months.
These updates don't have to be earth shattering. Up the limits or the quantity we can buy. Maybe add a chase item or 2.
That’s a perfectly logical recommendation, I’m sure that most summoners would want more feqyent updates but would comprise with a regular 12 month schedule.
To answer your question of the “issue” in a word, PROACTIVITY. Kabam takes an extremely reactive approach to most parts of the game, rarely being proactive about things

This comment shows how out of touch the game team is with the player base. The rewards haven't changed in 20 months—20 months! And yet, there wasn't enough time?! This goes beyond any common sense. I have no idea what is actually happening behind the scenes, but from the outside, it looks like the team lacks knowledgeable professionals who are aware of the game's situation.

I'm sure Beroman is looking forward to his celestial 1 rewards

I knew someone would make a dumb post like this, they never specified the buff would be for this season. And like @Deacon said, the same people crying about the BGs rewards in the upper ranks are still going to be playing it regardless of the buff or not
It seems that the only buff of next season’s bg rewards is Light Essence and Dark Plume? And only Celestial guys can be rewarded Light Essence? No new relic rank-up materials (even no new relics launched after 1/3 this year), no more crystal shards, no update on bg store. Now I could say even the worst side quest has more rewards than bg nowadays because you can acquire 2k titan shards directly instead of suffering in Gladiator Track. What are Kabams doing? They are killing their roots of the game! They said “there will be some amazing changes coming in the future”, while I never thought pieces of LU could motivate me to climb more in bg. They even refused to do the easiest thing to make everyone’s convince which is simply increasing the amount of shards, because they think it does hurt to the “game economy”. Unfortunately, it seems that the effort of youtubers who decide to expose the present situation is not enough and last announcement from Kabam saying “we heard you!” is a absolute joke. What’s your thought of the so called buffed rewards? Would you like to climb more in Gladiator Track to get “1” Light Essence?
I'm considering petitioning the community team to make putting "game economy" in quotes for any purpose other than direct quotation a bannable offense.

To be honest, many players played the BG for an year can work out a reasonable reward improvements in 3 hours It’s not a work for 2 months
To be candid, I would bet all the money I have that if any of the players who ever complained about the rewards in this game were given the responsibility to actually manage the in-game rewards, the game would be in a death spiral in eighteen months.
So you think — and I’m not trying to be a smartass here — there is a rational, internally coherent reason that something like BG rewards are static for over half the life of the game mode?
And before the usual clown chorus assumes that I’m arguing for t7b and seven star AGs, I’ll be specific. From the outside, I would think they could achieve a lot of player satisfaction increases while minimizing resource distribution and increasing engagement if they just made incremental improvements to the rewards on a regular bi-annual or quarterly cycle. I don’t think the final monthly milestone needs to be a Titan nexus. Change one of the six star milestones to seven star shards, add 1000 Titan shards to the final milestone. Drop a handful of 7 star sig stone crystals in there.
Personally, I think they don’t do it for the same reason that nightmare raids launched with a lot of bugs. Probably a too-small team of talented but overextended people that have too much to do and not enough time. I have probably sarcastically invoked the “game economy” in ways that annoy you. And that’s because I think it’s often deployed by Kabam and their staunchest defenders as a smokescreen to cover a lack of progress on key initiatives. I don’t know if I’d go so far as to say bad faith, but not-great faith either.

No, don't you get it, all the complainers in this thread are geniuses who could totally design a game compelling enough to keep even disgruntled players hooked and engaged year after year. They just don't have time to do it because they have to keep grinding for those outdated rewards that they hate so much. The irony cracks me up to be honest if it wasn't also kinda pathetic...

I agree, and its not even about the t7b or whatever top rank up mats. Its the milestones still having useless 6* shards, its the store that got updated and feels outdated again. Like Beroman said my initial response to Pinwheel was not about the time between the announcement and the start of the next season. Its about ALL the time we have been ignored or they had the time to think about it and now they need more time. I am sorry but from a players perspective its a bit insulting and also infuriating to see things like this. Specially after reading responses like Banquet 2024 was being thought out since the end of Banquet 2023. Sure prepare the spending events for a whole year, 27 seasons of BGs got 1 reward change.

For anyone who doesn’t know this guy has won 10 bg seasons, the man who has won the most bgs seasons so if he’s complaining about rewards, this is a serious time for Kabam to actually stop pushing back bgs improvements and get on it ASAP

It kinda gets old when every change announcement starts with "We heard the feedback and..." someone would wish that once in a while they hit the nail in the head.

Right. Because ONE player makes the difference if we get buffs or not. Regardless of his ranking each season.. he's not the only player in the game. Like it or not and I'm sure he'd agree to an extent.

I bet a cinema bucket of popcorn on season 30
But my alliance has mostly stopped playing for the past 2 seasons bcos they don't see a point in doing so
Great for promo
"It's our 30th Season and we have awesome rewards for ya patient folks"
Hang in there guys
We are almost there
Just in a blink of an eye
