So let me get this straight…

I pushed decently up into vibranium last BGs season bc I really wasn’t trying that hard. It really wasn’t worth the grind for me. But I started this season in Diamond 5. I appreciate the addition of 7 star shards to the victory track…but they’re in platinum. So for pushing higher last season I’m missing out on 7500 7 star shards I would have pushed through…I’m sorry but that just doesn’t make sense. I know Kabam is trying to work through a way to “fix” BGs but if I would have known I wouldn’t have pushed as high last season

The way start seeding works, is that it starts you in a higher bracket based on where you ended the last season. That's intended to mitigate some of the most egregiously lopsided matchups and make getting to GC less of a grind if you made it there before. If you play 5 matches (win or lose) you get all the rewards for the tiers you skipped. You're not losing anything if you play at least 5 matches over the next month

My dude, it has been the same way every season and there is a splash screen before you play that says “play five battleground matches to get your rewards” when you first start. This is a you problem for not understanding how a basic part of the game explained in detail multiple times.

This is equivalent of saying, “all my champs got knocked out in this quest and I had to start over. I don’t get why I can’t heal them or bring them back to life. I have played this game for eight years.”

My guy…I saw the message. Clicked off of it. I know the bg store tokens are included every season….roughly 30k worth. Has been this way since BGs started. This one time I did not see the 9k 7 star shards in that message before I clicked off and when I went to check what the start rewards were it just said “play 5 matches to claim”. I understand that. I am not stupid. As I missed the 9k 7 star shards portion, I did not understand how I was about to miss out on the victory track 7 star shards from a lower seeding from placing higher…the math wasn’t mathing. By the time someone told me they were included I couldn’t pull the post. I have been playing the dang game for 8 years. And am not in the slightest bit stupid. Comprehendé?

As stated above. Clicked off the message bc it popped up in the middle of the screen. When I went to check…it simply said “play 5 matches to claim” but couldn’t see what the rewards were anymore. So came here to ask. Won’t make that mistake again tho

I think if you had asked a question, you would have gotten a simple answer. But in fact nowhere did you ask a question of any kind. You complained about rewards being added to the game mode that you were going to miss out on because of what you perceived to be a flaw in the game mode.

The mistake you made was assuming something was broken when you should have simply asked how the rewards worked. And this is a mistake everyone would appreciate not recurring.

No, it's not been this way since BG started. The seeding and 5 match rewards happened almost an year after.
