F in the chat for our brave summoner who dropped 240K to flex that rank 4… only for the same rewards to be handed out like candy 4 months later.

Chances are that 240k is chump change for that guy, while you gotta nickel and dime rent...

    F for u πŸ˜‚

He spend that much means he earns min 1million+ & he has 5 R4 which give him 35k prestige & still many aren't close to that prestige

You think they didn't know that?

Same thing happened with magus in 22’ banquet.

Two months after he spent well over 6 figures and got 4 r5 six stars - we all got our first from EOP carina challenge.

7 months later in may/June of 2023, 7 stars were launched and his investment became obsolete.

The advantage whaling out real estate level dough on a mobile game is there - but lasts mere months.

I don’t feel bad for him. He probably cleans his behind with Benjamin’s. Dude a multi-millionaire, 250k to him is $250 to us simpletons.

That’s how it goes. People spend thousands for the advantage while others wait it out. He didn’t need to spend $240k for a rank 4 7*, probably did it for the rare title and 7* ticket for the year.

You say that like you think he was unaware that would happen. It would be sad if that was true, because not only has that always been the case for the top tier rewards, it happens deliberately by design.

OP is exactly right, and this message should be aimed at all the f2p complainers who think the game is unfair instead of poking fun at a multi millionaire who already knew this was going to happen.

this thread is further proof that f2p grievances are mostly BS.

10 years of that should be enough to be aware people wasted money in 4* crystals back in the day lol

Did they? If they expected to buy a permanent benefit with that money, then yes. But if they expected to buy a temporary one, then that's what they got.

This game is powered by an interesting duality that few people fully appreciate. On the one hand, it seems like spenders can buy so much more than F2P players can get at the same time. But on the other hand, it also seems like spender spend so much money for things the game basically gives away for free eventually. It simultaneously seems like a bad deal for the spenders *and* the non-spenders. But in fact, it is actually a great deal for spenders and non-spenders. The spenders get what they want - a way to spend their way to an advantage - and the non-spenders mostly get what they want - a game they can play without spending because they will get everything eventually. The game targets those two kinds of players. Most of the complaints (about monetization) come from people who don't fit into one of those two groups.

It only seems like those people represent a big chunk of the game playing population because they are loud and a lot of Youtube talking heads (not necessarily MCOC content creators) belong to that group. But when you look around, you seem millions of free to play players happily playing games for free and ignoring the spending going on, and you see lots of whales dumping gigatons of cash on free to play games they *could* play for free but would rather spend money on to buy whatever the game is selling.

I mean, if I had that kinda money, I would probably spend a bunch to, why not?

Dudes like him keep the lights on so guys like me can play for free, without ads.

    Win/win.

I'd rather have $240k to burn on a video game and be mocked on the forum than to be the one doing the mocking...
